Welcome to Gaia! ::

I like FF3. (The ones with the Espers) I don't know, that just seems to have the best storyline. I like the FF series, but they are not as good as the older ones.
Ya know, the first FF i played was VII. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't as good as everyone said. I played the earlier ones and enjoyed them, but again...not up to all the hype.

VIII was a waste of money and time for me...too confusing and annoying.

IX was alright...just had too many flaws.

Recently I played and beat X. Def. The most fun FF I have played in a long time. I love games that have to deal with forbidden love, if not just because I feel i am a victim of similar circumstances.

So, in short: FFX was the best to me.
FF8 is the Best !! I like it better then all the others ! So that automatically makes it the best xp
I would have to say FF8 is still my favorite game. As much as I love the others, I'm more drawn to Squall as a hero and Cloud, Tidus and Zidane combined. Zidane especially. xp I thought the battle system was the best out of all of them, because you could kick a monster's a** using it's own magic. XD That always amused me. The story line was compelling and though I didn't really enjoy Rinoa's character, Squall's reaction toward her and their romance was wonderful. I also enjoyed all of other characters. Irvine and Selphie will always be one of my favourite couples. And the FMVs showed how ahead of their time Square was with graphics. They really pushed the limits of the PS-One, I still can't figure out what they were thinking when they developed FF9...
FFVII is my fav. is had the best story line and people are still playing it
Final Fantasy 8 because the story really hasn't come up to par in any of the sequels yet and the graphics for it were a great leap from what they used to be. This can also be said about FF7
FFx for everything about it
final fantasy 10because its the only ff that accually made me feel for a charecter...
I like FF3 because it was the first one I played.

I also like to play 7 and 8 because the have good graphics
smile .
Ok, my vote goes to many of the games, because of the different aspects that they favor. For instance I believe I like FFVII the most because I am drawn into a game by how good its storyline is, and FFVII's storyline is overwhelmingly good. Second I like FFVIII because of the good graphics and the updated battle system and the unique GF movies. Thirdly, is FFIX because of its overall creativity and design of the characters. Next comes FFX with its great graphics, and even better gameplay. Lastly comes FFX-2 (For I have not played FFXI), With its overwhelming battle system and sense of control, not to mention the change of the whole game from a standard RPG to Square-Enix's award winning creativeness.
At the top of my list are FFIX and FFX-2: FFIX for being just straight-out awesome (and for having Kuja! ^.^ KUJA FANGIRLS UNITE!) and FFX-2 for being fun. FFX-2's the kind of game I play when I'm depressed...there's always something in there to cheer me up!

FFVII comes next. In its time, it was groundbreaking, and is now legendary in the annals of RPG history. My only qualm with it was the fact that the second disc went a bit slowly.

FFVIII is third, because despite its tendency to get annoying, it's a great game.

And lastly in my top four (five?) is FFX. It's a good game, I've got no real problem with it...just that it, too, can get majorly annoying. Particularly when you're leveling up. In certain places, you don't get certain kinds of spheres needed for leveling up, for some reason, and then they can't advance as they should. And Tidus was annoying, too. >.<
FF7 is the best ever!! i love it and cloud and vincent are the best. the next 2 i like are 9 and 10. Zidane is pretty cool and i like auron. pxhizzle, i hope you know who this is and i know you will agree with me lol
FF6 is definetly the best, it's awesome!
FFVIII was the first one i played, therefore it has a special place in my heart. The story was great and the character design awesome. It had the ever present love triangles as well as the classic rival motif. The final clincher though would be the gunblade...tootaly unrealistic but w/ drool worthy coolness.

Although im still not sure how to pronounce "SeeD"...is it "seed" as in plants (goes w/ the garden thing i suppose), or "See Dee?"
In all honesty I think that the final fantasy games have (with a few exceptions) been goign downhill since their initial inception. The first final fantasy was limited by it's size and graphics but it had this finality about it this concept that theese heros were in effect as a group Jesus(or insert other relligous messiah as needed) and I feel that this concept has been lost over the years. Two and three(real three where you start out as onionkids) had teh same jesus mesiah motif but 2 had aa lousy system and three was more focused on changing jobs. 4 had a redemtion aspect to it which humanized teh main hero thus preventing he's effective implimentation as an unhuman savior. 5 tried to brign to seris back to it's roots with the job system(rath uneffectively I might add). 6(fake three for thoose of you who only played the ammerican versions) was posibly the only step up in the history of the series (though I put 7 on par with it so there was no desention imnideatly after) Due primarily to it's host of awsome characters(which effectively implimented the job system without alowing characters to change jobs) and secondarily to it's amazing villian (props to kefka genocide is difficult to pull off but goddess smoting is even harder). 7 was blessed with graphics and that coupled with it's wide spread production and again awsome villian (though probably not quite as awsome as Kefka or Chaos) but I having played and beaten all of them (except 8 I'll get there) on their original systems cannot give it a "nostalgic" edge that probably gives it teh advantage over all other games here. 8 was crap full stop my reasoning: 1) junction system way to easy to break, 2) gettign blizzaga(ice 3) before first big bad guy fight who happened to be fire type monster, and 3) they had a decen tcast of characters but they screwed the story with a lame plot hook(out of respect to thread creator I won't explain said hook in detail as it could be described as a spoiler.). 9 hmm I don't really know why I didn't like nine I beat it in less that a weak and I never wanted to play it again but I supose it could be atributed to the main character being a thief and the fact that I never stole ever (allways seemed like a waste of time). I have a number of problems with 10 (no ATB) but most of them are in endgame so I can't discuss them here. 11 is an MMO I don't liek thoose so I can't really get into it enough to judge properly. As for the others (mystic quest, legends 1 2 and 3(?), tactics, tactics advance, and X-2) I can't really catergorize them as Final Fiantasy games as they aent' part of teh normal series. most people probably either stoped readign this by now or thikn I'm a nostalgic freak thoose thinking the former a well within their rights and teh latter a absolutely acurate I play to final fantasy games so that I cna find reasons to say they are worse than the first(and up until 7 they were still fun).
