After recently finishing FF8, I think that game out of all should have the remake and the most to have lots to improve upon. And just a remake where they make everything real-time whatever, I mean that the creators should also refine the plot and character depth. That way the whole ridiculous Rinoa = Ultimecia theory can be put to death to those who still believe in it (it has been proven wrong by Square themselves through their official Final Fantasy VIII Ultimania guide, and through obvious in-game script and a magic casting of "Scan" on Ultimecia's forms). Most of the characters were two-dimensional and should have some more depth and backstory to them. It's like Bram Stoker's Dracula where the plot is great, but the characters, even the ultimate villian, is two-dimensional.

well I love VII and that rocks with PSX grachics so that wound be awsome with a remake but at same time I can see that A remake of that wound be, well killin its awsomeness on the PSX so I wound leave it tbh

That is because it was NEVER meant to BE a remake, it was ALWAYS meant to be a technical demo to show te graphical abilities of the PS3, it was the fans who saw it, came in their pants and took it to be the start of a remake, THEY were the ones who got their hopes up, maybe they shouldnt be so damn ignorant and assume something that was NEVER going to happen in the first place.

Final Fantasy VII May have been the best to most gamers, but the graphics on it are out of date. There fore they need to remake it will the story line and possibly mix in all the Final Fantasy VII happenings. With that the newer fans would see what they are missing and then all the old fans would be a bit happier. Better graphics and the amazing story all together. That's be the dream. lol
But Square Enix was in the past talking about remaking it because all the excitement with the Crisis Core and Advent Children. But as the fans wait we tire and want it now. so we CONTINUE TO FRICKEN WAIT!!!!! XD All in all though... It was all talk and possibly never gonna be remade.

Yet on the OLD SCHOOL super nitendo there was a Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. It was pretty interesting too. I wouldnt mind that being remade either.

Instead of saying reasons why VIII and IX should get remakes, I'll explain why the others shouldn't.
I= Its the most remade and ported of the series
II= It has also been remade a lot.
III= Was released on DS recently ( for a FF remake)
IV= See above.
VI= Has been remade
VII= Too many sequels and its available on PSN.
X= Still lingers around at game shops.

It was my first FF and definately had some of the most likeable characters in the series. Would be great to see them on the 360/PS3

Final Fantasy VII should defintely be remade! For the PS3 and the PSP. FF7 was the most popular. I mean, come on, it won BEST. GAME. EVER. more times than any other game. FF7! If they change anything. . . they should be horsewhipped!
