Telluric Dinivas
Right. It's totally manly to follow your fate blindly and not try and change it, despite knowing that it really won't help anyone in the end. That's called being a coward, not a man. Tidus actually killed himself so she wouldn't have to die, and break the cycle of Sin's rebirth once and for all. Tidus learned that he was practically a figment of someone else's imagination, but knowing that, still helped his friends and loved ones, even though he didn't have to. He could have run away from everything. Including the fact that his father was basically the harbinger of everything that spelled out doom for the whole world. But he didn't. He stood and fought against all odds, and won. Bro, it doesn't get much more manly than that. Get back at me once you learn what it means to be a real man.
It is not logical for a character to be a lead when their sole purpose is to be the foil for other characters, despite how "interesting" they may be. Making the character you favor most the lead is not only not good story-telling... But fanboying, bro.
And whatever is in Final Fantasy VI that you claim makes it better than all those games, must be something you and only you can see.
Running way from it all would have done him no good. He wasn't real to begin with. He had nothing to lose because he was nothing. He was imagined up by someone else. That's not many. Yuna had everything to lose. She pushed forward anyway for the good of everyone in that world. That is manly.
Again,. I cannot fanboy over a game that I am not a fanboy over. I hate how linear FFX was. I hate Tidus. I hate Rikku. I think Lulu is a stuck up b***h. Auron was a good character, though. He was a powerful and driving force in the story, something that Tidus really wasn't. Tidus spent the game being the whiny little b***h that he is.
There are plenty of people that believe that Final Fantasy VI is the best one man. As for what's in it, a brilliant story with many twists and turns, a collection of excellent and well developed characters, the best villain in video game history and music that could drive just about anyone to tears because of how beautiful it is. Final Fantasy VI is the epitome of everything Final Fantasy was ever meant to be. It is beautiful. It is an absolute work of art.
