The anniversary referred to in the text is that of Squaresoft and Enix’s merger to Square Enix on April 1, 2003.

Any thought on what they might have in store for FF related content?

So far, the only thing we know of is the last Final Fantasy title to carry the SquareSoft name... The HD FFX/X-2 Release.

They remastered Final Fantasy V on iOS, too!
