a point about the iphone, it is soon getting a release of final fantasy legends which was released in japan in 2009 for japanese mobile devices. not sure if we count that as a re-release as it is not a numbered game but it is final fantasy smile

I really want 6 to get remade. Everyone raves about it but due to the graphics its extremely hard for me to get into. I'm not a huge graphic nazi but I was never able to play 2D RPG's.

I'd comment on how I enjoyed the remakes of Final fantasy 3 and 4,
but talking about III and IV always confuses me because there's the I,II,III in the USA that isn't really the I,II,III of japan but rather the first three games that the USA received..

I actually don't mind the PlayStation Portable remake of Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection since it means I can finally play The After Years because it was never released in North America.

I think that was fixed once the remakes were released, so I think most people would understand which game you were referring to if you said IV or III.

I don't mind any of the remakes/rereleases. I'd actually probably prefer them than Squenix trying to make another FF.

Actually it was released in NA, but it was on the Wiis virtual consul (it's where I first got it from) in a bunch of separated chapters you had to buy and wait a few months for more chapters to appear, just like the original cellphone games style.

The graphics in Complete Collection is much better though, and it's way cheaper that way so in reality you didn't miss much XD

All I know is I want a remake of V, VI and VII. Please keep the story but I need a huge graphic enhancement.

I never use the Wii Virtual consul so I didn't know that After Years was on it in the first place.
