Do you think Crisis Core was meant to be more of a fan-service type of game?

Besides that, since when has Final Fantasy NEVER been fan service once they got past FFVI? Do I need to remind you what Lulus pose was? Or How big Square did Tifas tits? Or how slutty Yuna looked in X-2? Or what about Ashe in FFXII? That skirt didnt exactly leave much to the imagination.

It isnt exactly the first time Square has done fan service, it wont be the last time either, so Crisis Core doesnt surprise me there is fan service in it either.

I disagree about "everything past VI" being a fan-service. xD VIII wasn't bad at all, IX wasn't either. Lulu looked just fine to me, I don't think they over-did her at all.
But I'm glad you mentioned her. People rant and rave about how big Tifa's breasts are in BAD graphics, but look at Lulu's in with GOOD ones. Jebus. :]

Lo and FFVII made Tifa's outfit more... reserved for a girl who is only fifteen. But in CC, they changed it and it was a bit upsetting. The Ultimania says she did it to impress Cloud though, so on an up side, that makes me happy. XD

Maybe it's just me, but they made it totally different. :/

That is bull s**t, Square knows they made tifas outfir for pure fan service, it wasnt to impress Cloud or else they would of stuck to the FFVII look, that was a bit more reserved, as you said, that one in CC is nowhere near having Tifa impress Cloud, part of Square are just horney males who love seeing chicks in shot skirts and small tops, they did it for pure fanservice, nothing more, Cloud would of liked her no matter what she wore, they made her skimpy clothes because they and the at least half of the male population of FF fans (and some girls) like seeing Tifa in skimpy clothes.

So, yes, it is an excuse to hide up the fact that they just love seeing big chested Tifa in skimpy clothes.

*Looks at Screne Shos* hmm...well I will say that they added more detail to the clothes but the design is still generally there, the skirt is shorter and the white top under the vest thing is shorter but in a whole, they did make it pretty much the same.

And yes, my mistake, I guess no all FF games are fanservice, I should of thought of what I typed before I did it. ^^; either way, besides 9 and 8 and parts of VII, it is mostly fan service, though, Shiva has always looked a bit slutty, I actually thought she wore MORE for her first time ever in FFX. Dont get me wrong, i love Shiva, shes one of my faves and I know she is an ice summon so clothes arnt exactly something she should wear, but still, wearing a little more then what she usually does cant be TOO hard to figure out surely.

But... in CC, I think they toned down the size of Tifa's breasts. It wasn't nearly as bad as it was in FFVII. x'D They did the same thing in FFAC, too. Toned it down a bit, but seemed to try enhancing Aeris. Hmm..

Lulz, but Shiva is a GODDESS. Goddesses in legends alone tend to wear nothing or close to nothing, and stand for a symbol of beauty towards the body. "The body is a temple" sort of thing. Goddesses are a higher power, and something as trivial as clothes wouldn't matter to that sort of being. So, I don't think SHIVA is a matter of fan-service. rofl

Alright, here's the deal. Tifa's clothes were altered for fan service. They were also altered to make it more like she was trying to impress Cloud. So, I guess it was fan service for Cloud.

You also need to remember that Square CAN lie in those books, if they want to cover their own hornyness up of adoring Tifa for her tits they can, we wont know, they will just make an excuse as to why said character is like that. We belive what comes from Square but it isnt like they arnt able to lie about some things and we would belive them, if it is to cover up their pervetedness then they can easily lie about it.

Not that im saying Square are nothing but a pack of liers, I am just saying that some things, if they dont want to look a certain way, they can easily make up excuses for themselves. I cant see Square being all nice Japanese guys who wouldnt see several guys go jerk off to their latest female creation in the toilet.

Hmm I have mixed feelings on Aeris, I mean, I think she is TOO much of a Mary Sue, shes pretty, I give you that, BUT she comes across as TOO perfect, no flaws etc, that is why I dont like her, she is a Mary Sue. I do like her, but I dont, it is probably why I didnt care if she died or not, I was glad a Mary Sue was gone yet annoyed my healer was gone...

Hmm and yes, saw that as well, Aeris had a normal size bust where I Tifa had hers shrink, I think your right with that, want to make Aeris look like she has something guys will want whereas Tifa had TOO much of what guys would want. XD

At least their toning down Tifas breasts though, god, if it wasnt a fantasy game I would of send Square a note sayin that Tifa should of had back problems in AC. XD

Aeris isn't a Mary Sue, by any means. I don't like her, but she's not a Mary Sue. She has PLEANTY of flaws. Trust me.

And just because they might enjoy making beautiful women, that doesn't mean that's the only reason they make them the way they do.

10 years ago, Tifa's outfit was a bit more likely to attract males than it is now. They would have to update it so that it would still work the way it did when FFVII first came out. If you look at today's youth, if they wanted to impress a boy, how would most of them dress? There ya go.

I disagree. I don't think Aeris is a "Mary-Sue" at all. To me, she was not perfect at all. It's her fans that put her on pedestal and treat her like she's a perfect angel.
I used to hate Aeris, but now she's grown on me quite well. ^^ She was naive and made her mistakes, but considering the circumstances and the kindness that really is in her heart, I came to llike her. Aeris was innocent, but she was spunky and fresh as well. xD
