Recently announced for the Nintendo DS by Square-Enix was... CHRONO TRIGGER.
Now I know this doesn't technically belong here, however I know many of you will be very excited about this. I'm also excited about this, as I've never had the chance to play it, and it looks incredible. I really wanna meet Magus!
It is due to come out Winter of this year, according to the trailer on the site, however, I dunno if this is also the same for the US release.

Considering its just a port of the original for the DS, I view it as a waste of money. Playing the same game over in a compact form does NOT merit me paying the standard price of a DS game.
Had this come with either a 3D overhaul, or perhaps a promise of extended storyline or improved dialogue, I might take an interest. But it doesn't.

I'll pass.

I don't see a problem. There's no need to stick to the forum rules 100%


Anyway, I will most definitely be getting this game since I've never owned the original. I'm buying a DS from my friend for £10 +__+

I'm going to pick it up, even though if it's just a port. The reason being, Chrono Trigger is my favorite RPG, so I'd love to play it on the go.
