Great minds think alike xD I did the same thing in FFVII. Tifa became Barret, I switched aeris and cloud, and the other characters too. It was very confusing O.o

I'm usually a default name kind of guy. However, I once named Tifa BOOBS, and I once bought a used memory card with Rinoa named SLUTTT!!!

More often than not, I use default names (using other names tends to feel weird in a game where I already know the characters anyway.) When I beat the game and get bored with pretty much everything else, I use humorous new names... because hearing
"Sephiroth killed Sandwich!" is more entertaining than "Sephiroth killed Aeris!".... for multiple reasons sad

I call all my characters the intended names...of other Final Fantasy Characters.

Boy does it get confusing.
But I love it.

I named all the characters on FFIX after food once.
Zidane--Waffle
Vivi--Crepe
Steiner--Strudel
Dagger--Souffle
Quina--Pudding
Amarant--Baklava
Freya--Torte
...can't remember what I called Eiko though. Sorbet, maybe...?

Also I called Tidus Pamcaekz in my current run through of FFX.
