Oh, I bet you WOULD give Rufus wheelchair lapdances. emotion_awesome

Anything for Rufus. emotion_kirakira

I guess I'm going to wait VERY patiently for the novel to be translated. I am interested in readnig it. The summary just isn't enough for me. But it lets us know what's going on.

I'll probably just skim it and read about characters I care about and then not bother reading about the others. Just like with Case of Shinra. emotion_awesome

Now if only someone would translate FFII's novel. classified_fu
I cried reading Case of Shinra. I gasped in horror and then went "WTF?!" in Case of Nanaki. Felt bad in Case of Yuffie. Can't recall the other reactions.

I only bothered to read Lifestream, the Rufus parts of Shinra, and I skimmed Tifa, just to get better insight on why Cloud is so depressed in AC. I didn't have the attention span for the others. emotion_donotwant

Case of Nanaki I went "Hmm... I never expected this." and then it just turns ironic to the point it scared me.
Ah... memories. I miss cid and his cursing. ;_;

So 6 years later and I've played FFVII dirge of Cerberus for the first time.

And I have to say I don't see why people hated it so much... they compare it to Devil May cry but I wouldn't say it was trying to rip it off... there are a few other games out there that i can think of when I play it... Really, Dirge of Cerberus interests me far more than the original FFVII ever did. I don't even like FFVII all that muc and for the life of me I can not guess why this game flopped.

I haven't played Dirge of Cerberus yet, mainly because I didn't get too many games for the PS2 when I had one, we were in bad shape on money and then my brother took it and sold it I think >.>
So I pretty much missed a lot of games out there like that, FF10, so on. Now I have the new PS3 model that apparently doesn't play PS2 games, just my luck mad wish it did.
I doubt I'll prefer dirge over the classic, but I'm pretty sure dirge is a great game, even if it is a rip off of devil may cry, dante is amazing, and so is vincent, vincent in a DMC-like game sounds great to me.

Thats just it having played Devil May cry I can say that the game is nothing like it. Most people probably compare it to it because during te time no one had played very many other action-adventure games along those lines... there is a game that it reminds me of much more and it bothers me because I can't remember the name of the game. Its more like the combined the mechanics of Megaman Legends with another game. It was using a system that you didn't see on alot of games toward the end of PS2's life though so in a way I could understand why people didn't like it but I found it ok, hardly worth the hate people had for it... and the graphics on it are good.

I really do not like Final Fantasy 7... I find the game boring and to have a far worse translation than any other game in the series. Also the game just seems a bit rushed and likes to throw Deus Ex links everywhere rather than actual back story for a good portion of the game. To say... The game has not aged well would be a understatement. And on top of it the games that they've made centered around it have added a ton of plotholes. Its kind of sad really because of this fact I actually want a remake... Maybe they would be able to better express the game now with improved technology.

Final Fantasy 7 is ok, but I think they could do far more with the world and characters and make them interesting than I do think the game itself is interesting.

I viewed the aiming system somewhat like star wars battlefront on the psp...... although I wasnt too impressed with battlefront I did like alot of the story for Dirge but Im working currently on Crisis and VII again lol, and emerald and ruby are being evil as usual on VII, and Im beating all the missions and getting all of the items and shops on Crisis, sadly I no longer have a copy of Dirge. Dont you think they shouldve involved the ova in the thread on the short anime film Last Order?

See I've never played Battlefront either... but Dirge of Cerbus's game play reminds me so much of another game and it bugs me so much that I don't know what it is.

Crisis Core was an interesting back story... sadly I no longer have that too. I enjoyed playing Zack's Story rather than just seeing it animated again.

Well, the Last Order to fans in the series isn't really talked about that much if fans of the series have played Crisis Core pretty much everything listed in it as been talked about in Last Order.

And with movies brought up... I do not like Rufus, I do not like how they build I'm up to be a good guy in the movie Sequel, the turks kind of make sense to be good guys they just follow orders. But Rufus is just out for himself during the game not to mention he escapes the blast via secret tunnel and in Dirge of Cerberus they say he has no information about Deep ground when Shinra had Deepground under it. XD

Yea, on the Rufus thing I think they did so because he regretted being half blown up smile and his fathers mistakes plus its mentioned that his dad rules by fear and Rufus by money or vice versa I can never remember
