there all good games and movies. i like advent children since it had sweat fighting scenes and looked great.

dirge of cerberus was cecond fav. i like the shooter concept it had.

.....
Please, read a book. It's sad how I remember you all because of your poor grammar.

It is the new millenuim, people don't read books these days, it is too much hard work.

Lol. I really don't know if you're being serious or sarcastic, but something is happening.

I was being sarcastic, as much as that is true it is also true that no one seems to read books these days either, I meet one person, a 14 year old, who hadn't read a book since she was about six or seven, apparently, their 'to difficult' and 'too boring', when I asked why she doesn't take some reading lessons I amlost cracked up laughing because she replied "because I wont need it in the future, im going to be famous singer/actress so I wont need to read" needless to say I just said "well good luck with that" and that I had to go. If I stuck around her I might of hit her around the head several times with the Sherlock Holmes book I was reading which wouldn't of been good even if she did deserve it... sweatdrop

Lol. I heard that same bull crap from someone else. This person I was talking to said "I don't need to learn this stuff in school because I'm going to be a fashion model and most of them are stupid anyways." I was thinking "....so you just want to be another stupid model...?" All I can say now is that this person is lucky that they have a teacher instead of a sergeant. But seriously, I would have though that someone who plays RPGs would, at the least, be able to type out a decent sentence.

LOL This new generation are total idiots, not all, just most, they think they can just get by on next to nothing when it comes to education and think they will survive, what what will have to our two 'friends' when they realise they may just fail at their goal to become famous and have to get a normal job? I know these days employers seem to hire the ignorant and the ones who fail at school (I still go through drive thru's where they need a calculator of using their fingers to count) but still, I doubt they will hire people who couldn't even read an order at McDonalds.

And come on, Shin, this is an RPG game, look at how many people don't read the texts in the boxes, we still have people who honestly belive Hojo was just some mad man, wanting to 'have a sexy son' as his own and Vincent is really Sephiroths father, now I wont deny Hojo isn't a total mad man but still, it shows how ignorant they are.

Of course, this IS the FFVII fandom which is in a league all their own (and of course not all of them are complete dolts) but still...

Omg! The person in the drive thru couldn't do simple math? I would die of laughter if I seen the person taking my order counting with their fingers. Wanna know something funnier? I went to Taco Bell and the person taking my order couldn't say any of the foods right. I ordered a taquito and the guy pronounced it ta-kwee-do. That really made my day. xd

Yeah, but the majority of those people who don't read the text are the ones we should thank for such ridiculous things like that. It happens in a lot more titles than just FFVII, but spikey hair and huge swords just seem to attract a lot more attention. I support that statement by bringing up all the people who are anticipating Versus XIII for no reason at all.

LOL oh god, I know my spanish isnt exactly great (thanks to my nephew liking Dora The Explorer and Handy Manny I know some but thats about it) but even I know how to pronounce some spanish foods, I am a huge lover of mexican food which helps but still, these days, given you have laces like Taco Bell, you would think people would at least learn to pronouce things properly, especially if you work there.

I was wanting to laugh but mother reminded me that 'I sucked at math' as well so I thought I would bite my tounge but still, though I do suck at math, I actually figured out how much change I was meant to get (though slowly) before he was half way through with his math...which is just sad more so really. XD;

Ooo god, dont get me started on FFXIII, so many people I have seen go on about how 'XIII is their favorite game' and yet it could suck donkey d**k, this is when you realise all people like is 'cute graphics' and thats about it.

2 days till my birthday which means 2 days more till I turn another year older...how depressing...
Even if you do suck at math, if this person can't do what they're paid to do, they deserved to be laughed at, just like the guy that couldn't pronounce the name of my food, they're taking orders all day and can't get the names of the foods you serve? That's a big LOL for me.

Yeah, it looks like it's gonna be a good game, but I'm not saying much about it until I actually play it for myself.

i love ff

Hey, I still count on my fingers (especially for multiplication; ever since my mom taught me the trick with using your fingers for the nines table. Hell yes.) and the little counting dots they taught me in kindergarten, and when I worked retail, I totally relied on the computer to do the math for me; I barely scraped out a C+ in Advanced Algebra. The only numbers I'm any good with are historical dates and static figures and the like; I can only do simple math in my head and greatly prefer to do it on paper so I can be sure I get the right answer. That's why I'm not a math major; I'm studying the things I'm good at instead (Japanese and Music double major).

In any case, I don't blame the kids, I blame our education system; it's starting to come apart at the seams due to lack of funding, lack of good teachers and lack of reasonable expectations. Because the government wants students to reach a certain benchmark, schools lower the expectations so that everyone 'wins'. Go take a 'minimum requirement for graduation' class at your high school and you'll see what I mean; now that I'm in college, I finally feel like I have reached a place where I am intellectually where I belong, and it took me 20 years to get here, for crying out loud.

Not to derail the off-topic conversation about the decay of our youth as demonstrated by a troll and some people who are unlikely to stick around the thread debating anyway, but could we get back to the topic of video games? XDD What was the last FFVII related item we were discussing? Vincent's phone and funky sound effects, right?

The weird Vincent sound only plays once in the Bahamut fight, which is nice, because it's a silly whistling noise, and it's distracting.

During the Reminiscence of Final Fantasy VII, Vincent calls Cloud (just as everyone else does in that feature), and at the end of their conversation, asks Cloud to tell Yuffie not to use his phone anymore. I'm going ahead and assuming that Reminiscence takes place after Advent Children, but before Dirge of Cerberus, where Vincent does have a phone, if I remember correctly.

(Also, as for the 'Vincent is Sephiroth's father' thing, I think that is often them willfully denying Sephiroth's lineage. I'm perfectly happy to read, say, an Alternate Universe story where Vincent is Sephiroth's father, but I can't stand people who say that 'Vincent is Sephiroth's father' because they 'don't want Hojo to be Sephiroth's father'. Hey, guess what? He is. Get over yourselves.)

I've started replaying VII as well (yay for the PSN downloads), and I'm taking my sweet time...and taking notes. God, I'm nuts... Also, I finally finished my translation and reinterpretation of Loveless. The more I worked with it, the more the in-game translation came to irk me in various places. (The final lines of Act III, specifically) While it was quite good overall, it wasn't very poetic.

I think people jammed false hope into their heads if they believe that Vincent is Sephiroth's father. I mean, sure, Lucrecia was his only love, but she chose Hojo over Vincent(For reasons I DO NOT KNOW NOR WANT TO KNOW).
(I do somewhat enjoy stating that Hojo is Sephiroth's father. It's fun to create fanfics that involve family reunions. XDD
Rufus shakes his head and lets out a low whistle. "So that's where he gets his insanity....")

I can't remember...wasn't there a part in FFVII, when AVALANCHE was on the Highwind, didn't Cid recite a part of Loveless and watched the play?
