Final Fantasy Four Fault? PSP Version

Since a little while after I got the game, I never thought anything of it, I dealt with it and it mostly just happens on the menu screen of the sequel and in the game (controlling a character, like the arrow on the menu screen can get iffy as I can just leave the controls alone and the character will move on itself) and it is getting rather annoying now as it is now happening with Final Fantasy IV, the text just scrolls through fast.

My PSP is old (got it first day it came out) and has been dropped a few times BUT considering this is the only game it happens to it is making me question if it is a fault with the game.

no, its probably the PSP. I can't think of many things that the game could have wrong with it that would cause that.

Had a feeling you were going to say that (trying to be optimistic that it wasn't the console), I guess I will be buying a new PSP when I go get my new T.V this year.

If you have a friend try it with a different copy of the game just to make sure, or if you can rent it.
