I always liked Cloud and Tifa for some reason....

But as far as actual romantic stories go, I like Zack and Aerith in Crisis Core best.

I liked XII's pair up with Baltheir and Fran. It wasn't blatant, but I think a Basch/Ashe pair up was slightly hinted as well. That would've been niiiiiiiice. emotion_c8

I love Tidus and Yuna. I think that Yuna was interested in him from the moment he arrived in Besaid, but she was too afraid to let her emotions get in the way of her pilgrimage. It was nice to see her have little slips, like in Kilika ("I just....want him nearby." ) and, of course, in Macalania.

I've never been a big fan of any of the major canon romances in Final Fantasy.

However, I usually really love the side characters' canon romances that are hinted at.
In the poll I voted for FFIX, not because I like Zidane and Garnet together (I don't, really) but because I adore the majority of the background canon.

Those two are my favorite couples in the series. Both of the couple's strong bond of friendship is really good and their love for each other.

Yuna and Tidus really impacted the relationship the most to me. Ah well, the kiss that is. For Zidane and Garnet is the hugs cat_smile
