The Yami Bakura
Oh, another Lightning Returns question I have.
Its about "launch" and "smite"
I've heard that you can only "Launch" enemies that tend to be rather large, but I've also heard its possible for smaller enemies.
Basically, how do you launch a enemy into the air? Is it random, or is there something special you have to do? Or is it monster specific?
Also, what is "smite"? From what I have heard, supposed after launching a enemy, you can do some kind of crazy move that knocks them back to the ground, and supposedly its known for doing tons of damage. How can I do that?
Really, whenever I have problems with a large scale enemy, like for example: Cyclops, Chocobo Eater, Reaver, Earth Eater, Zomok, etc, etc, I look up a video on the internet to see how you beat them, but its also some person knocking them into the air and smiting them to do tons of damage, wtih the person saying "see? this guy is easy!
biggrin " And they never explain what they did to be able to do that.
You can only use launch when the enemy is on the ground defenseless. I *think* you can only get enemies in this stage if you stagger them? I just remember using heavy slash to cripple the enemy, then launch would come up, then once they were in the air heavy slash would shift to smite.
I digress. Some enemies will only enter the downed stage after the second time they are staggered. Others do not have this stage at all (hence why they wouldn't be able to be launched).
Launch appears when you have the right ability equipped (attack or beat down are the two I know of) and the proper criteria are met. Smite appears only while the enemy is launched. The abilities that I know of that you need to equip to get smite are beat down or heavy slash.
Protoflorians were the easiest for me to create a scenerio where I could use launch and smite. I equipped beat down (launch) and heavy slash (smite). For some reason it was harder for me to get attack to shift to launch and beat down to shift to smite.
