Who Laguna Loire was modeled after? If anyone.

I saw this entry in the cosplay arena and it immediately made me think of Laguna.
I tried looking it up and couldn't find anything.

I'm not really sure, I just saw the picture and thought of him. The movie is called Desperado and so is his Limit Break, so I thought there might be a connection.
I don't think it's so unlikely they could've drawn some inspiration from it, at least.
If you look at other pictures from the movie, or maybe watch the movie, it doesn't exactly re-enforce the idea, but...it was there, and I was curious.
So I thought I'd ask.

Pretty sure the FF Wiki will have information for everything like that, if the character does end up being derived from something else. It always has random facts like that.

The only ever time they've mentioned modeling characters after people was with FF12. But even then they didn't name anybody.

I can only remember that Squall was modeled after the late River Phoenix. I think their is someone else in the FF series modeled after someone, but I can't remember who. ^^;
