There's a difference between AC and DF.

Advent Children is canon.

She had no materia equipped when fighting Loz. She doesn't have any materia equipped when fighting Kadaj's summon. She has super-human strength and durability in AC. Hitomi never has super-human strength in any canon DoA game.

and how exactly do you know that? she could have been using materia. There was nothing indicating that she wasn't using materia. Did you talk to the directors and story planners? Did they tell you that she wasn't using materia? no? well then stfu

Because in the movie, the materia glows inside the user's skin when in use.

Tifa never glowed once. Loz and Yazoo were glowing like crazy when Cloud attacked them at the end of the movie.

There were plenty indications that she wasn't using materia. Just because you didn't notice them, doesn't mean they aren't there.

I typed specifically, "IN THE MOVIE, materia glowed inside the user's skin when activated." The original FFVII at this point is irrelevant. Especially since Crisis Core retconned Materia being equipped into weapons and accessories and allows Zack to equip them directly to his body.

Also Vincent was using materia in DoC so why wouldn't the other characters be using materia in AC? There is no reason for them not to use materia and there is no evidence that they AREN'T using materia.


Lets take a few steps back shall we? You remember VIII right? There are many instances that show Squall's limited movement abilities. True, he was a strong and skilled mercenary with stronger than average physical prowess. Never in the game has he show the ability to leap the height of buildings. But as you can see in Dissidia the air dash ability is shared by all players. Do you know why? Because its a fan service that has absolutely no impact on the original game! Its there to make people happy! Its filled with loads of impossibilities and contradictions all for the sake of entertaining the FF fans and making SE money!

Pretty sure that this is an "Affirming the Consequent" fallacy. Just because Vincent is using materia, doesn't mean the rest of the characters are. Zack and Sephiroth used Materia in Crisis Core, but did Cloud and Aerith? No? Then your point is irrelevant.

Irrelevant. We aren't talking about VIII. Cloud can jump higher than a normal human can in Crisis Core, and Advent Children without the use of materia. I do believe you just committed a false analogy fallacy, but I could be wrong.

So your saying that all of a sudden everyone can equip materia into their body with there being no explanation of how or why just because Kadaj and his gang can? Even though in CC and DoC they still keep with putting materia into weaponry?

Also in CC Cloud was just a grunt who hadn't even made it to SOLDIER yet and Aerith was just a civilian who had no reason to fight thus giving them no reasons to even have materia in their possession, much less use it.

Unless you've forgotten, the argument is that DoA girls vs FF girls. So how is my using Dissidia as an example of your own claims irrelevant?

You pretty much stated that all of the FF characters were gods and goddesses compared to the lowly mortals that were the cast from DoA. You were complaining how DF gave the DoA girls some special abilities for the sake of entertainment.

My point is this. According to your complaints, what Monty did with DF is no different than what SE did with Dissidia. A video to show the characters of two popular franchises in a new and exciting light that breach the limits of the original games.

By complaining the way you are, may as well be dissing Dissidia. A video game that brings togeather the heroes of the previous FF games to show them in a way that we could only have dreamed of, breaking away from the standard turn based system that had limited them to simple actions. Breathing new life into characters whom we only got to see fully with concept art and fan interpretations.
