Remake in what sense? confused I hope you're not thinking in the PS3 sense. If FFVII PS3 remake is not happening, then an FFIV PS3 remake is impossible.

A DS remake for IV is under consideration. It might be made by the same team who worked on remake for III.

they say it's a "Dramatic Progressive Action" whatever that is, i'm thinking maybe an rpg and fighting game mixed

also judging from the scan, it looks like theres going to be alot of air battles, which is always awesome

I'll be honest with you about it, I didn't know about it. Probably because I've been so busy with my head up Namco's a** trying to find out more about the Tales series, mainly the ToS OVA due to surface for the first time next month in Japan. *shrug*

I'm playing through FFIII on my new DS right now, and I have to say... I miss the old style of Final Fantasy. I like that old magic system, I like that old class system, and I love the challenge. I finally feel impressed by an FF game. Sad to say, I played an emulator of the original and I enjoyed that, too. *shrug*

Whoa damn. I think it's a bit much. Squeenix is just trying to sell, make more money, and with what this sounds like... they probably will sell plenty. But none of these PSP releases make me want a PSP at all, though. They aren't selling to me, I've noticed. Are they TRYING to help Sony save the PSP, is that what's going on here? *sigh*

i'm not to happy about ff4 on the ds, i think it would of looked way better if they remade it like the ff1 and ff2 for psp, but that's probably just because i love sprites...

On topic: Dissidia looks freakin' sweet. Super Smash Square. Here's hoping for Firion, Cecil, and Faris to make it in. I don't have a PSP, but I'll be getting one for the Lion War, so...

Off topic: I will commit mass-murder to obtain FFIV DS if needed. That is the best idea ever, and I will be purchasing that the day it comes out if I have to ninja-combat my way to the front of the line.

geez, i can't keep track of all these new final fantasy's, just think what the 30th anniversary will be like...

so far the one's i plan on getting are ff13, ffvr, ffcc, ffrw, fft lions war, ffta2, ffd, and maybe haerisis, depending what console it's on, pr if it's even a game

Holy s**t... Dissidia better have online wi-fi play! International would be even nicer since I like playing with Japanese players and German players. I really hope it doesn't support voice chat though because I don't need to hear 12 year old racist bigots and 14 year old squeeing fan girls.

I kind of like Zidane in Nomura's style... I guess because it's outside Nomura's usual.

Kuja is still such a trap. XD

I hope they include the five races from FFXI with the the job system. That would be incredibly awesome. If not the five then at least Hume, Elvaan, and Mithra. Just throw them in with the artifact/dynamis armors.

Mog better be playable. Kefka too... that'd be wicked. Though kicking Cloud's a** with Zidane might be more enjoyable since a lot of the FFVII/FFX fangirls call FFIX a shitty game in favor of FFVII.

My own opinion, FFIX had way more heart then FFVII/FFX.

Edit:: It's nice to see there are a lot of FFs coming out. The sales will rocket giving SE tons of money so that they can do more original IPs in the future alongside the FF and DQ franchises.

Actually, the PSP is gaining A LOT more attention than prior years. Saying that games companies are trying to "save" the PSP is an overstatement because they have been more successful at competing with Nintendo than any other handhelds before it (See: Sega Game Gear, Atari Lynx, NEC TurboExpress, Neo-Geo Pocket Color, Nokia N-Gage, Wonderswan Color, Gizmondo, and so forth). And I could only see it further being supported by future companies who jump in.

Is it losing to Nintendo right now? Yes. It is dead? Far from it. Very, very far from it. I have both the DS and PSP, so I'm not complaining.

If it has wi-fi online play let's all get on, make a bot Cloud or get someone to sign on as Cloud.

Then we take all the characters that aren't Cloud and promptly beat him down over and over and over again. And of course for Sephiroth if he's involved...
