Dissidia: Final Fantasy - Released in All Major Territories!

Square Enix is slowly spreading Final Fantasy to other types of gaming genre. Would you like them to continue this trend?

A PS2 version would be pointless. It would look just like the PSP version.

I'd love a PS2 version because a) I don't have a PSP, and B) I'd much rather play that on the big screen than on a handheld.

b) There is actually a way to play PSP games on a TV/HDTV already. You just have to buy the right stuff.

The lastest PSP's come with the ability to Audio/Visual output (R/W/Y) to TVs.

Unfortunetly the aspect ratio is really, really bad. Only like, 40% of the screen gets taken up by the image. You really can't expect something that is designed for a small screen to be blown up on a wide screen. Ever try to enlarge a small Jpeg for a desktop wallpaper?

So the PSP limits the aspect ratio to the largest that can be accepted without utterly ruining the image of the TV. Which really isn't all that large. The rest of the screen is just blackbox.

I just pre-ordered it at EB games yesterday. They say they're expecting it in October, but then again-that's probably the LATEST they're expecting it. I'm not really expecting much out of it, but the fighting looks a lot like Kingdom Hearts 2's battle system (especially Sephiroth's moves, I'm pretty sure they just ripped those out of KH2). I'm getting kinda tired of them milking already good games, but at least they're done with 7 and moving on to something else for a change. (I could be wrong about that though..) I'm just glad it's not a sequel or a prequel to aFinal Fantasy game, and rather it's just like Kingdom hearts, without the Disney/original characters.

They know people liked the idea of crossovers already so they figured they would cash in on it some more I guess. Whatever keeps the majority of fans happy, I guess. Don't get me wrong, I'm not pissed at square, and I'm not trying to sound like I'm complaining. I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on this game but I'm really not sure what to think about it.

I guess I'll know once I play it. : p

Yeah, I already know that. I checked the site last week and it said it'd be out mid-2009. But yeah, either way>:3 got it pre-ordered.

Looks like something is changing from the Japanese to US release.
