Kuja has, as of the information released so far, become the focus point of my interest in this game.
I want to hear his voice, find out more about his moves, and so on.

I hope they don't give him a gay voice...just because he looks gay doesn't mean he is... xd

Oh good...Kuja will have his panties...I was worried they would give him pants for this game since it is so detailed....but now I can see detailed black panties! heart Yeah, I'm perverted....

They look more deep violet, but I get what you mean. x3

We know we all have those thoughts. <333
Huzzah! Kuja and Zidane are back again xd They better not let us down with thier voices.
There will probably be an option somewhere to mute the voice-acting.

They did have an option like that in FFX through FFXII, right?

Reverse. You could suspend captions, but the only mute option you evergot was the one that comes with your TV.
Actually, I was very impressed with XII's voice acting, and I'm a sub-snob when it comes to most anime and games--it's hard to impress me with English acting, but they managed to pull it off.

Here's hoping this turns out just as well.

EDIT: By the way, the "Overture to Dissidia" link is dead.
Judging by the choice of Japanese VA, I doubt they will find some super flame to voice Kuja.
But the English Dub has done such a thing before.

That comes from the fact that with FFXII, the adopted a policy of rather then using veteren voice actors or celebritys to perform their voice acting, they've chosen reputable stage actors.

The results are quite nice. I hope they addopt it as a policy for their future games.
My only question: Who's composing the music?

Since Nobuo Uematsu composed the main theme for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, maybe there'll be some crazy exchange program wherein Koji Kondo will compose a theme for Dissidia!

Er... Not likely.

Actually I'm wondering who's coming to represent FFVI for the hero side. Kefka is hands-down my favorite FF villain, so I have no doubts that he's in. But who would Cosmos choose to fight him? Celes? Terra? Mog?! Nomura has already redesigned Setzer once, and while I like his style, he's hardly leading man material.

I'm rooting for Celes. Her inherent Ice, Poison, and Cure magic, and her Runic ability seem unique enough to make her the best choice. On the other hand, Terra's half-Esper, and that transformation of hers lends well to the cinematic feel of the game.

I'm sure the voices will be fine. I imagine Garland will have a baritone voice with a Darth-Vader-esque quality to it, what with that helmet he's wearing, not to mention he's housing Chaos in his soul.

It should be working now. Thanks for checking up on that, please check to see if it's working. If not, I'm going to have to find another host.

As for who's composing the music, the metadata for (Secret).mp3 (File could be found in the multimedia section of the 1st page) reveals that the music was composed by Takeharu Ishimoto.

Link still isn't working for me.

Alright. Then I'll just need to find a good FREE filehost with no limits on bandwidth. Any suggestions?
Oh...that guy.

I wish they would outsource Yoko Kanno in for the project as a composer.
I'd be screaming utter bliss everytime I played it, which would be often.

Especially if she took up her long standing tradition of partnering up with Origa.

I'd put the OST on my Ipod I would!

Kanno... I love Kanno...

The Bebop OST is my favorite OST of all time. Hell, I love it as just music.

Though to be honest, the best OST that Final Fantasy could get in this post Uematsu world is something like Last Exile. I adore Last Exile. XD

However, Kanno doing a Darker Than Black/Cowboy Bebop mix soundtrack for a Final Fantasy would be insane. Especially with songs like Space Lion, Blue, Call Me Call Me, Tank, etc. Throw in some of the more ambient music from Gits. Just awesome.

Edit:: By the way, Sci-fi is airing Ghost in the Shell: Solid State in June. I think on the 11th. It's during their new anime block.
Just taking into account the Darker then Black OST, Yoko Kanno would compose a fighting game.
It would be glorious.

...Already saw Solid State Society like a bad person.

Takeharu is just not very impressive to me because while his work with the series is substantial, none of it has any real impact for me. It comes in one ear and goes out the other and I never think on it again. Kingdom Hearts, FFX, and Last Order did not have music I would stop and reflect on. Nor have I ever wanted any of the soundtracks.

Where-as I replayed the same scene eight times in GITS just to hear one Yoko Kanno song before the OST download finished.
