As far as I can tell, they had intended on this to be a very tightly packed, economically built game.
If Square had wanted it bigger, there's no doubt in my mind they'd have put it on the PS3. The "Split Screen" argument is pretty much transparent. There's no rule stating all console games MUST have in-room multiplayer only. Last I checked, the PS3 is just as online capable as the PSP.
No, they meant for this to be a compact game, small and efficiently made to produce revenue for the downtime until the XIII games come out.
I posted this a few pages ago, but I also feel dissidia was somewhat of a test.
This game could have totally flopped and been unpopular,even among hardcore fans.
I think since this game is so sucessful, we will eventually see a PS3 dissidia of sorts.
Imagine, a game with alot more than just main characters. Downloadble content, in my opinion, would be easier on a system like the PS3 more than the PSP.
I could be totally wrong though, but thats what I feel.
