I'd play as everyone first, then find a character that fits my style of fighting and go with it.

At this moment, it's between Squall, Cecil, Tidus, Kuja, and Ultimecia.

I agree, and most likely u would have to play as all the characters to complete the individual's chapters and such. Thats how I usually find out who im good with.

And at this moment id choose Most of the melee fighters and CoD cuz her fighting style reminds me of DBZ xd

I want to play as Kuja, Mateus, Firion, Sephiroth, and Luneth!Onion Knight. C:

Because it's taking longer to edit your summary compared to everyone else's.

And if Tactics were released with Ultima as a villain...We'd have that little bit of lore fuffiled.
The problem with this this theory is that Ultima wasn't the main villain. Ramza has no connection to her at all, and she spends the entire game in limbo until Vormav summons her anyway. If anything, Vormav should be the one chosen, because he's the puppermaster behind the Church and the war.

Cloud of Darkness flies in the face of this theory. Almost exact same premise.
Almost the same for Final Fantasy VIII, sure we know Ultimecia was pulling the strings, but she wasn't noticable until later in the game. What about St. Ajora instead of straight to Ultima?

That actually sounds more reasonable, although there's nothing about how she'd fight in that form. Probably another mage-type, similar to Ovelia/Alma, perhaps?

Well actually in the original Tactics, Ajora was regarded as male. So maybe he would work like a mage as Ovelia and Alma, but when as the female Altima, she would fight in a mixture of meelee and distance attacks. For some reason, Zone of the Enders comes to mind for that. Plus the idea of a gender-morphing character sounds really intresting.

I could have sworn Ajora was female. He could have at least changed his clothes after he was summoned and then separated. xP Just an interesting note, the Ajora mentioned in XII is female, but only in the Japanese version.

The High Seraph would have access to Ultima II, Grand Cross, and mostly likely the two sword she carried.

With me, I did this in Soul Calibur. I played the story mode as each character, I was testing how good I was with each one. In the end, Maxi was my best character cause I was a speedy b*****d with him. And yes, I do like his hair. =D

Anywho, Back to Dissidia. With me wanted SPEED and to kick major a**, I feel that Tidus might be my favorite to play. Either or that, it could be Zidane.

Actually Onion Knight is quicker than all of them. Unfortunately his strength is dwarfed by Tidus', unless his exmode kicks in. Tidus's speed is for dodging, while Zidane is for jumping around after the enemy. Onion Knight though delivers the most hits per turn.

Well, I guess Onion Knight is on my list too.

I hope Square Enix manage to get Cloud, Squall, Tidus, and Sephiroth in the next Super Smash Bros (possibly about 4-5 years from now). Do you know the Nobuo Uematsu made the main theme song for that game?

If there was a FF character ina a Smash Bros. game, it would be a generic Warrior or a Black Mage.
The ones you mentioned have only appeared in PS games. (That GBA Kingdom Hearts doesn't count)

And I don't think there will be another Smash Bros...
But who knows what Sakurai's thinking.

Personally, I would rather not see that. I prefer that the franchises stay seperate.
