I noticed that, Tidus did seem to be 'aged down'' then he did in his game and I am wondering why, surely they didnt just do this for the sake of doing it...

Believe it or not, they did indeed make the change "for the sake of doing so." Something to do with a slight alteration to Tidus to fit the general graphical style of Dissidia, and that change happened to be for the younger. (Consider the changes to Squall and Sephiroth - minor, but intended to pull them into a unified style.)

.
Ahh ok, I understand now and yes, I noticed the changes to Squall the most out of any of them if truth be told, but that was mostly because he seemed a little skinner then he was in FFVIII in some of the pictures I have seen.
Haven't been fallowing the news, but is Dissidia's cast limited to those from FF up till X? Has there been any hints of characters from Ivalice showing up?

So far only I through X are known. Nothing has been talked about other than that.

I thought someone had extracted the game data and found slots for XI and XII at least. Not that it's entirely conclusive, though, since a lot of games have extra data leftover from things left out of the final product.

I did the same thing, found the same data... but like you said, that doesn't make it conclusive.
I doubt the extra slot for FFXI. Tactics or FFXIII maybe.
I would rather see Tactics anyway. Ramza vs. Vormav please! xD
Was Vormav the original name for the knight templar who at the end sacrificed himself to give the deity they were after a way to appear?
I can't remember much details of the story, but I don't remember the name Vormav.

On a note not to do with the game, does anyone know if there is a book of Nomura's art?

As a result, 20 is the final amount for the cast with probably a few “small surprises”.

couldn't it be that the as spoke of slots are for the "few small surprises"?
yeah, i know the final fantasy characters are young, but i was refering to the dissidia cast. I mean warrior of light and firion's ages are unknown, but i doubt they're in their 10's like zidane and squall, hence why i said early twenties and i mean come on, cloud is 4 yrs squalls' elder( that's not even including AC and DoC) and squall STILL sounds older than him AND Cecil. I guess i have a problem with squall's voice the most is because he's also the japanese va for auron(he's my favorite from X) and to be honest i usually think the original japanese voice actors do better than the american versions, but when i first heard him doing auron's voice i got quite the surprise. Honestly, i think auron's american va did a much better job than his japanese counter part. it sounded way too deep even for someome like auron unlike his american va. Although, I'm hoping doug erhoultz or whatever his name isn't chosen to do squall b/c boreanez did a better job and if not him then anyone else, but erhoultz should do it. I guess squall and auron just got the bad end of the stick and ended up with a voice that's not fitting them(i'm not trying to say he's a bad voice actor, just voicing the wrong guys, i guess). Still, seriously hoping someone in the project realizes this and changes it.
(Sorry for the wall of text, but just my honesty really.)

Yeah, that's him. It was re-translated to Folmarv in WotL.
Ahh yeah, I recognise Folmarv. 3nodding
It's been such a long time since I've been here.
Yay a release date~ Sure it's for Japan but that just gives us some hope, no?

Also, I like Kefka in this. He's just like how I imagined him. Crazy silly retard, then suddenly crazy Y SO SRS seriousness.

Am I the only one that heard a Kansai accent on Kefka?
