Also, tone down/rework the ultra, it's designed to be a 'comeback mechanic' but, from what I can tell (I don't really play SF4 or SSF4) it's relied on too much...

Long shot, but maybe they could use the Revenge gauge as sort of a MAX mode and Ultras as SDMs.

EDIT: Game is looking kind of like a modern Night Warriors now. It's Street Fighter-paced with chain combos and tech rolls.

The video on eventhubs has convinced me this game can work out very well. Kazuya looks to have translated into 2D VERY well. Also it appears the Tekken characters can dodge underneath the fire balls as they try to get in.
