With the current script and director I'm hoping its not a "hit"-success, because then every little teeny-bopper brat and their mother is going to think that KOF is what what depicted in the movie. I'm sorry, but I don't want a bunch of screaming brats running around wanting to be a like "Terry Bogard Undercover Detective". He's not a freakin' detective, that's Mary's job! scream The only way I will forgive that is if Terry's character says something like "I used to really like this chick who was a detective, but she died so I'm carrying on her memory by carrying on her work... Oh, Mary... boo-hoo!" [/angst].

Now, if you meant "success" as they manage to successfully capture the essence of the characters and games in a move (which I highly doubt they will), then yes, I also hope its a success. We mustn't give up hope, after all, Mortal Combat was pretty good and I can't speak for the rest of you but I enjoyed the Tekken anime-movie.

Well, i do think the opposite, it does need more fame, Street Fighter & Dragon Ball rly let me down, and KOF can rly do what Street Fighter left us wanting, a good story line, and more action. I rather it be as long as Lord of the ring movie, and not be rushed (like teh game). Tekken movie is about to come out too, but this is KOF so I'll stick to the topic.

I saw the previews and all that for the KOF movie, Iori don't have red hair, mmm, vice and mature look cool. I havent heard of the Terry being a detective, but i know there's a good reason for it. Oh, and the reason i want it to be famous and be it's original storyline is for future games to come out too, leading to the last XIII, and another Capcom vs SNK <---could even be 3D.

The thing is... I prefer very few fans who are real fans and like it for what it is over massive armies of screaming fans who only like it 'cause they're jumping on a big band wagon any day.

Its bad enough that SNK is pushing their "pretty boys" like Iori, Kyo and Ash but imagine just how much worse it'll be when you have masses of teenage girls screaming "OMG! Kyo ish so HAWT!" Just the idea makes me want to vomit.

But yeah, the whole thing will be so bad it's horrible, we're all gonna cringe when people point it out, then the idiots who think that it is how KoF works...well, I can build I shed, someone can buy the shotgun, we'll just form a conga line of Old Yellers....

In any case, Metal 7 and SS : Edge of Destiny.

@Renkon: I agree with you about the fangirls/boys. But you have to take into consideration that Kof Needs a spotlight in America. As of right now it really doesn't have one.

Hell KOF is more popular in mexico than it is in America...

Maybe the movie will give it that little push it needs to help along business. That way we won't have to keep waiting decades for new releases and possibly SNK will go back to releasing yearly installments like before!

I've got the PS2 Orochi Saga Collection and 98 is also one of my favorites. '98, '97 and '95. heart ^^

I used to have it for the ps2 too, but i had to sell em, but I'm still good with the Psp version =D
