Actualy I found them pretty easy to block, you just have to wait until he done punching, about 4-5 times. His laser if what annoys me most though, because it's basicaly unblockable, unless you're right next to him where it won't it you ironicaly.

Laser is easy to side-step if you see him prepping it.

But the uppercuts... he usually uses them once you're in the air, and juggles you with them.

Laser can also be ducked under, but if he has half a bar he can aim it down at you. It deals a lot less damage but he can probably combo you off of it.

I usually only got hit by his Air laser, because that can't be ducked unless you're fairly close to him and it's a lot more sudden.

The straight shot didn't really get me often, unless he shot it when I was stunned.

Really? Hmm.... I'm going to have to reach this fight. He sounds like a total jerk. I speak purely from trying to play the fighting style and not actually having fought him yet. Sounds like I could learn something from the fight.

He's probably the hardest fight in the game, except for perhaps the A5 Nightmare.

Well... tips for fighting Nightmare/Seigfried? I'm sick of them and they're pretty much the reason I've stopped playing Patroklos.

Ironically? Patroklos is one of my better characters against Nightmare/Siegfried, especially if you get in close and stay up against him.

That said... just stay up against them, spam close-range fast moves a little if you have to, and do a LOT of ducking and quick-stepping. Oh, and with Nightmare? ALWAYS be careful when attacking him while his meter is at 1 or higher. That Critical Edge is incredibly cheap, and it -will- hurt.

Well.... I do still like the style but since it wasn't working I figured I'd give something else a try too. Enter Aeon, Ezio, and Devil Jin. So far Devil Jin seems like the most fun to play. But if Patroklos is good against them I'll probably come back to him at some point.

I'm honestly not crazy about the Devil Jin style, at least for me personally. It just feels very restrictive and awkward for me... but I rarely like -really- short reach styles.

Never cared for playing as Ezio, for similar reasons and it's just not really my thing. Plus, unless it's a character I outright adore, I tend to prefer using customs than pre-mades, and since you can't use his style in creation...

I'll admit Aeon is fun, though. It's actually the first time I've -ever- liked using Lizardman in any Soulcalibur game.

The only reason I'm really liking Devil Jin is because of his ability to get in and hit fast as well as his ability to bully people around the ring.

I'm also with you on the custom character thing which is my main point against Ezio. It's also still a little awkward so I don't know how long I'm going to continue using it.

And this is also my first time using a Lizardman character! biggrin

I don't mind the character Ezio, I just have no exposure to the Assassin's Creed series and would rather be able to use the character for a custom, because it -is- a cool style overall.

I'd also love to use Algol's style for a custom, but sadly you can't. Which really sucks, considering he has one of my favorite styles in the game (minus the throne silliness), but I -hate- the character himself. Especially when he screams 'BUBBLES!' when he falls off the stage.

I've never used Algol myself, nor have I ever really fought against him. I skipped out on 4 and have yet to see him in 5.

He's a boss in Legendary Souls and sometimes appears as one of the last two stages in Extra Arcade. Haven't seen him otherwise.

His style was actually really fun to play as, but you sadly cannot use it for Creation in SC4 -or- 5.
