not to be rude, but can i just point out that she's a mutant and that's how she got her powers? the way it is worded here sounds like you're referring to her ethnicity as a source of her power, which is not how it is.

Heh, my bad. When I mentioned Japanese and African element, I was simply referring to their country of origin. I had no intention of conveying ethnicity as the source of these characters' powers.

ah, i see; i am currently reading "The Walking Dead" and thought it was a very well-developed story-line but the drawings were most definitely imo NOT anime. i've also read some mangas (like the Knights of the Zodiac) and thought they looked cooler in the anime ('cause of all the blood and flashy backgrounds and the fight scenes)

and when i compare the two, your statement is pretty much "fact" even if it is opinion.

I have to disagree completely. Most of the anime I've seen has pretty laughable and ridiculous(more so than superhero tights, surprisingly) character and fashion design. The belts and zippers school of design irks the ******** out of me, and keep in mind I'm speaking as someone who's been listening to Siouxsie and the Banshees and Alien Sex Fiend(to name a few) for pretty much my whole life

Understandable. Outfits can be really outlandish in anime. Personally, I don't understand sexually suggestive designs that are completely impractical for reality's everyday purposes. But that's probably just me, at least around here. I will freely admit I do like a number of comic character's outfit designs...Rogue, Gambit, Nightcrawler are the three that immediately come to mind at this time.

I probably should've added a disclaimer that I don't actively watch new or old anime these days, so my opinion may be considerably biased.

Didn't the game come first anyway? So Dante's still a game character rather than anime, right?

That didn't stop people from making MK vs DCU. I'm sure lots of people in MvC are much stronger in their native universes than in said game (and vice versa in the case of Phoenix Wright).

I think the spectacle of it would be nice, just to see unlikely combinations like that.
