With summer fast approaching, we would like to provide an opportunity for talented members in our community to be a part of the Gaia creative team. If you had ever dreamt of working with us in the Gaia office, here's your chance!
We have openings in the following positions:
Product management
Marketing
Programming development
Art development
Simply answer the questions below as your application and mail to us.

What are your most visited sites on the net (other than gaia)?
How many hours do you spend online outside of Gaia?
What is your age and how old were you when you started using the net.
Where do you live?
Which position are you most interested in? (product, marketing, development, art)
Personal Statement up to 200 words: (examples: why gaia should choose you, how can gaia improve, new feature for gaia, etc.)
Additional information:
Product management internship.
-Work closely with Gaia's product management team to help define new features and improve existing ones. Help the team in a variety of ways including: analyzing competitors products, interviewing gaia users (and people new to Gaia) to identify their preferences and behaviors. Make recommendations. Join strategy discussions and share 'the users' perspective'.
Marketing Internship.
-Work closely with Gaia's marketing department to grow Gaia's user-base and increase activity and satisfaction among our current users. Help the team with summer convention planning and execution; conduct market research on teens, study popular online services for clues to how Gaia can improve, suggest ways for the marketing team to 'get the word out' about how cool Gaia is - on and offline.
Development Internship.
-Love to code? We're looking for PHP (OOP only), Ajax, and Flash Actionscript engineers. Work closely with some of Gaia's lead engineers to improve current apps and create new features for Gaia. We suggest online portfolio with previous work with code sample.
Art Internship.
-Work with our art team to create new items, storylines and more. Note: Please submit your portfolio in addition to answering the questions above. Portfolios can be in online, hardcopy, or CD/DVD format.
REQUIREMENTS:
Age: We expect to hire people who are in college, but we're open to hiring younger candidates for the Product and Art positions, who show exceptional promise.
Location:
Expenses for travel, room and board are not covered - therefore we suggest you apply if and only if you live within driving distance of Gaia's offices in San Jose, California or can make arrangements with a relative or can personally afford to pay for room and board and travel.
