I don't like the original poster's method of fixing the issue
(that method suggests that an original 8% chance
would only increase to a max of like 15%,
which is still pathetic and unlikely),
but I do agree that this is an issue.

Took me 10 starseeds to get something
that should've only taken a few, tops.

See the problem with increasing it any more is the fact that the monster wouldn't become rare any more. It has to stay at a low to still be hard to catch. We just want the fact that IF you keep using the star seeds than eventually it will get high enough percentage to catch it easier.we don't want it sky rocketing from lets say 10% to like 40% in like 2-3 seeds. we need to keep it at a low percentage to preserve the rarity.

I'm not saying that it should be easy to get it up to 100%,
but with the method you proposed,
it quickly stops adding any likelihood of catching it
unless it was already easy to catch to begin with.

If it's at 10%, it'll go like this:
10 -> 15 -> 17 -> 18 -> 18 -> 18 -> 18 ...
And it'll never go above 18,
even if you throw out another 50 starseeds.

So I feel like the idea of adding a couple % each time
might be a better idea.
It's a slow addition, but if you have a ton of starseeds to throw away,
you'll at least get yourself into "more likely than not" territory
EVENTUALLY.
It'd be more like:
10 -> 12 -> 14 -> 16 -> 18 -> 20 -> 22 -> ... (etc.) ... 50 -> 52 -> etc.


It makes sense that the % would increase over time anyway,
because the Moga should be getting more and more exhausted
from trying to resist that damn starseed anyway, right? ;b


Well I kinda agree but, it would be the first method, but once it reaches a limit of 18%, than it just rounds up and add 1%

Well, rounding up to one is at least better
than adding fractions of a percent.
But I feel like it should be adding more than 1%,
'cause if it's only adding one percent,
it's not really helping,
and then there's no point in them adding this feature anyway.
The only way it'd help is if you have like 50 starseeds to throw away.

And I never said the percentages should skyrocket.
In the post you quoted,
I was saying the % was like 37 or something,
and it still took me 10 tries,
which seems ridiculous.
I just want it to increase slightly but significantly each time.

I'd just like to see the abiity throw multiple seeds at once for a higher for a higher % catch rate.

If you make it cumaltive but not stacking, so that throwing 2 seeds against a Moga with a 50% rate give you a 75% catch chance, it'll cute down on alot of bad RNG luck without affecting the average number of seeds needed.

It's up to the developers how they go about it, percentage-wise, in the end, but I do agree that we need something to this effect. The drop in capture rates from Uncommon to Rare Mogas is abhorrent, and with Starseeds as precious as they are, there has to be something they can do. Using up a week's worth of saved Starseeds on a single Moga is, unless it's Epic, completely ridiculous and unrewarding. At the very least, they should make it easier to aquire Starseeds...
