Hi!

I'd like to know what Mascara you are using right now, especially your most favorite one. With so, so many different kinds on the market, it's hard for me to choose!

I've been using Covergirl Lashblast recently, but it doesn't hold a curl for me and falls flat, plus the "big, bold, beautiful" effect doesn't last too long for me either. sad

I just bought myself MAC Zoom Lash Mascara yesterday after a makeup artist recommended it, but haven't had the time to wear it yet because I had to get my wisdom teeth removed today. sweatdrop

Here's a neat little form you can copypaste into a post if you'd like:

---

1) What is your mascara of your choice?

2) What is it about this mascara that you love so much? (Small wand, color range, waterproofness, etcetc) Say as much as you like.

3) Describe your natural eyelashes. Are they long? short? Do you have any complications with your eyelashes when using mascara?

4) What brands do you typically shy away from?

5) What tips and tricks do you follow to get the look you want?

6) How much? (I'm actually not concerned about price at all but I find it good to know)

7) Any other comments? (don't add this if not)

---

Thanks for your opinions! I'm still a makeup newbie and I need all the help I can get! sweatdrop

EDIT: I'm off to bed now since I'm hella tired after my dental surgery today but I will definitely be back tomorrow morning to check out your faves! See you later. cool

1) What is your mascara of your choice?
Covergirl VolumeExact

2) What is it about this mascara that you love so much?
The wand and how it lives up to it's name. No clumping, natural looking lashes.

3) Describe your natural eyelashes. Are they long? short? Do you have any complications with your eyelashes when using mascara?
My eyelashes are very short and very thin, so this makes them look long and thick. No complications.

4) What brands do you typically shy away from?
I forget what it's called, but it's the pink and green tube. It totally clumps my lashes like no tomorrow. :/ It makes me look like a hussy,

5) What tips and tricks do you follow to get the look you want?
I curl my lashes with an eye-lash curler before applying mascara. It gives me the look I want.

6) How much? (I'm actually not concerned about price at all but I find it good to know)
I got it on sale for like 7$ and it came with free eyeliner.

Lace up your shoes, A O A O! Here's how we do. Run, baby, run! Don't ever look back! They'll tear us apart if you give them the chance!
Okay, I'll bite.
xD

1) What is your mascara of your choice?
Dior's Diorshow mascara in black.

2) What is it about this mascara that you love so much? (Small wand, color range, waterproofness, etcetc) Say as much as you like.
It hardly clumps and it doesn't flake. Not to mention, I haven't had an allergic reaction to it yet. (I have extremely sensitive eyes and too many allergies to count).

3) Describe your natural eyelashes. Are they long? short? Do you have any complications with your eyelashes when using mascara?
They're... not short, but not long.
I think they're nearly half an inch in length.
They're thick, and close together, meaning I often find them clumping up with most mascaras.
The easiest way to fix that is using the plastic side of an eyelash brush, though.

4) What brands do you typically shy away from?
Maybelline.
I HATE Maybelline.
They caused six months straight of allergy pink eye and it still acts up from time to time.
>=(

5) What tips and tricks do you follow to get the look you want?
For eyelashes?
I do one coat on one eye, then do the other.
I then brush them from root to end with an eyelash brush.
Another coat, repeat.

6) How much? (I'm actually not concerned about price at all but I find it good to know)
$24 at Sephora.

1) What is your mascara of your choice?
It used to be Maybelline XXL (the white half/black half one) but now it's Covergirl Lashblast.

2) What is it about this mascara that you love so much? (Small wand, color range, waterproofness, etcetc) Say as much as you like.
As for Maybelline, it made my lashes look longer. However, they didn't look much thicker, or at least not at all in comparison to my Lashblast now. 3nodding

3) Describe your natural eyelashes. Are they long? short? Do you have any complications with your eyelashes when using mascara?
They're about medium length. Definitely not short, but not the longest I've ever seen. They've been longer lately though, so I guess that's why it doesn't matter so much to me to have a strong lengthening mascara (ie: XXL) Eh..now that I think about it, I guess they're on the longish side, but they're kind of light colored, so you don't really see them unless you get way close to me or if I have mascara on.

4) What brands do you typically shy away from?
I tend to stick to my current pick (whatever it may be) for ages. I don't think I've found one that I absolutely hate though..

5) What tips and tricks do you follow to get the look you want?
As bad as it sounds, I think the reason my lashes are longer/fuller now is because I haven't worn mascara every single day like I did in high school. I think giving them a break and not coating them with stuff too much is actually making them look better on their own?

6) How much? (I'm actually not concerned about price at all but I find it good to know)
However much mascara costs..less then 10?

Sorry that the Lashblast isn't working out for you. :C It's been great for me so far..Best of luck finding a new brand! heart

BUYING: Any blox (no matter how many!), 20g each. Just send trade. <3
almay(waterproof).

Thanks so far!

I can definitely say I dislike Maybelline too; Great Lash was one of the first mascaras I ever had when I started using makeup about three years ago and I get terrible eye problems with the brand every time. mad

I use an eyelash curler every time I do my lashes, and this one tip said to heat up your curler with something like a blowdryer for 5 - 10 seconds to keep your lash in place. This, however, actually broke one of my eyelash curlers and now I do it quite sparingly with my current one. Is there any way I can avoid this or any other method I can use to curl?

Thanks. biggrin

razzledazzle: I had bought two tubes of Lashblast, one every three months this past year. The first Lashblast, the last one on the shelf, was in Blue, a now discontinued color in that series (at least, where I live), and during the time I had it, it looked fine. It's just odd that all of a sudden once I dumped that one and switched to a good ol' black color, it falls flat for me and now I need to change to something new. sad

Aw, that sucks. D: And yeah, it doesn't make sense at all..

Oh! I used to have blue mascara (not CG though) and I loved it! Good choice. Now I want some again...haha 4laugh

1) What is your mascara of your choice?
Lancome Hypnose

2) What is it about this mascara that you love so much? (Small wand, color range, waterproofness, etcetc) Say as much as you like.
It makes my eyelashes really looong and thick without clumping and lasts ages. The wands kinda funny shaped, its got bumps in it but its amaaazing.

3) Describe your natural eyelashes. Are they long? short? Do you have any complications with your eyelashes when using mascara?
Theyre probably a teeny bit more thick than average.

4) What brands do you typically shy away from?
Super cheap £1 ones, although Boots Natural collection one is £1.99 and amazing. I dont like the Avon mascara in that colourful teen make up thats cheap.

5) What tips and tricks do you follow to get the look you want?
I put mascara on the top of my eyelashes, the part that faces your eyelid when your eyes open and underneath and wiggle the brush from side to side when I put it on. And I wear a few coats and put it on my bottom lashes.

6) How much? (I'm actually not concerned about price at all but I find it good to know)
Lancome Hypnose is expensive, I googled it and its about £19.50 but my mum works with someone who can get it for £10 (and MAC eyeshadows for like £3 all real)

ARE YOU DIZZIEEE BLUUD?
Maybelline greatlash mascara in "blackest black"

It never clumps.

It's awesome. o_o;

My top eyelashes are average length with about an everage curl. My bottom ones are LONG. Almost as long as my top ones & really curly.

I wear mascara on my top lashes & on the outer corners of my bottom lashes.

What is your mascara of your choice?
Covergirl Lash Exact [in brown]

What is it about this mascara that you love so much?
No clump-age, cheap, & gives just the right amount of volume!

Describe your natural eyelashes.
Fairly long, but not very thick.

What brands do you typically shy away from?
Anything pricey D;

What tips and tricks do you follow to get the look you want?
I always use brown mascara, black is too harsh and spider-y looking, in my opinion.

How much?
Uhh, anywhere from $4 to $7 probably.

Any other comments?
Although Sephora's Imju Fiberwig mascara is suppose to be "the best", it's a large waste of money.
Just an fyi.

1) What is your mascara of your choice?
I would say that would be my Rimmel London waterproof "Lash Maxxx"

2) What is it about this mascara that you love so much? (Small wand, color range, waterproofness, etc etc) Say as much as you like.
The wand is small and fragile in the width of the wand, and the wand have very tiny teeth that makes the wand useful for the bottom lashes as well.

Also, it's waterproof so I don't have to worry about it coming off.

3) Describe your natural eyelashes. Are they long? short? Do you have any complications with your eyelashes when using mascara?

I have long and lush lashes. The only problem I have with mascara is my lower lashes look HORRIBLE because of it. They look SO long and spidery.

4) What brands do you typically shy away from?

I used to stay away from Covergirl until I looked at their site and say that they did NOT test on animals. smile

5) What tips and tricks do you follow to get the look you want?
The only "trick" I use is I put a coating on top of my lashes and below to keep the curl in tact.

6) How much? (I'm actually not concerned about price at all but I find it good to know)

My mascara is like 5 bucks.. but I'll never spend more than 7 on one.

*hums*

"A dream is a wish your heart makes"

5) What tips and tricks do you follow to get the look you want?

J'aime des poissons rouges. <3
1) What is your mascara of your choice?
-Rimmel London Eye Magnifier in extreme black.

2) What is it about this mascara that you love so much?
-It's a good black, but not so much that it looks fake, it's not clumpy, and it pulls my eyelashes up out of my eyes and keeps them there.

3) Describe your natural eyelashes. Are they long? short? Do you have any complications with your eyelashes when using mascara?
-My eyelashes are relatively long and thick to begin with, but they tend to curl in odd directions, sometimes downwards into my eye (ouchies), so I have to curl them really well before I use any kind of mascara.

4) What brands do you typically shy away from?
-That kind in the pink and green bottle. It's icky, and clumpy, and the last time I used it, it took forever to dry.

5) What tips and tricks do you follow to get the look you want?
-I curl my eyelashes twice beforehand, put on 2-3 coats of this stuff, then press my lashes between a folded tissue to get rid of the few clumps that might've formed.

6) How much? (I'm actually not concerned about price at all but I find it good to know)
-I think it was around $4, but I'm not sure.

1) Maybelline GreatLash in Very Black

2) It's so cheap, and for the price it never clumps on me.

3) I have very long, thick eyelashes, so I have problems finding a mascara that doesn't make my eyelashes look like tiny combs...so far GreatLash is the only one that doesn't make them clump together.

4) For some reason Rimmel mascara ALWAYS makes my eyelashes clump.

5) I curl my eyelashes beforehand. Then wipe excess mascara off of the wand when I pull it out of the tube on a piece of tissue, then coat sections of my eyelashes in mascara using a side-to-side motion.

6) Nothing, is all I remember. Depends on if it's on sale or not, usually 5-7 bucks.

7) dramallama

1) What is your mascara of your choice?
maybelline greatlash in blackest black and blue

2) What is it about this mascara that you love so much?
the black goes on really well and my eyelashes still look normal. The blue goes on okay, but it's more fun =]

3) Describe your natural eyelashes.
pretty long, but blond. and not thick.

4) What brands do you typically shy away from?
the expensive ones.

5) What tips and tricks do you follow to get the look you want?
i separate clumps with a safety pin (not the best idea, i'd bet).

6) How much?
cheap. i don't remember.

7) Any other comments?
my makeup isn't very fancy. i'm an amature, so this advice probably isn't that great.
