I think you've got a bit of a plothole there, Sedia. If I got it right, as a vampire, because she is in the land of the dead, your character cannot die, but then as a human, she can? Try explaining that better - maybe it has to do with your world's vampire mythology? - and you might find more interesting consequences through that.

As a living being (before she became a vamp) in a land of the dead she can actually die yes because she never died in the first place to get there. The "world" is Ultima Online (and vamps are normal vamps) and as a game, people can resurrect when they die... and being set in Valhalla like my server was, that was pretty easy to explain away.

Life in Valhalla is just a continuation of earthly life except you have died and gone to another plain so to speak. When your already dead you can't die again but since Sedia never died in the first place, no matter where she happens to be, she can. And its not that she can't die because she is in a land of the dead, but rather because she truly died in a land of the dead.

Being in a land of the dead means you should be dead but if your not and you die there, it screws things up razz hehe

Oh, another possible consequence: she can't turn other people into vamps. If she tries to, they die.

(This reminds me of Saint Seiya, and their fantastical killing rampage through Hades.)

Yes I know its confusing hehe And had she not been turned into a vamp...don't know lol didn't go down that road because that's not what happened xd but I think she would maybe die die and go to a different hall (since Norse Mythology has many different afterlives...) and then face some other weird consequences at the same time being punished for "breaking into" Valhalla in the first place haha ...I wouldn't make her immortal or undead though because those go along with the vampire aspect. Dying would just be dying...maybe she would end up just continually dying given the whole "resurrection" stuff eek

I enjoyed Wolf's Rain, and have the series to rewatch now and again. The dearth of good fanfic makes me weep, though; the entire fandom is just as replete with badly-done OCs as YYH, and it's hard to find anything resembling plot anymore.
