Prologue

A smile spred on Aeris's face as Cloud approached her. She was on her knees with her palms together, praying for the Planet's future. Suddenly, a man clad in black hovered above Aeris and plunged his demonic blade into her body. For a moment, pain showed in her eyes, but she simply closed them and smiled at Cloud as if oblivious to the pain. The man pulled his sword out of her body with one swift motion, showing no mercy in his turqouise eyes. Aeris fell into Cloud's arms, feeling herself leaving the world for the Life Stream. Cloud's eyes welled up with tears as he felt the life leaving her body...
