Life.. Laughter.. Love.. Regret.. Pain.. Death.. Revenge.. It’s all part of a human’s life, part of a shinobi’s life, an endless cycle that everyone goes through in their life. Following the ninja way isn’t always an easy task, but one learns to live with it and plan his life according to that. Every single ninja follows its own path and Yumi is one of them.

An inheritor of the Hatake name, the daughter of the great Copy Ninja, Kakashi, a name that is not easy to live up to. Yumi is the oldest kid of Kakashi, her sister being 4 years younger. Not only that, but she is also the host of the Two Tailed Demon Cat, Matatabi, the Nibi.

The views of people on Jinchuuriki hadn’t changed much over the years, eventhough Naruto had proved that wrong, becoming Hokage like he always wanted to. Being a Jinchuuriki made Yumi’s life hard and full of obstacles, but she always tried her best to overcome them. It was not known why Kakashi and Naruto agreed to seal the Nibi inside her, since they knew it would make her life a hell, but Naruto once told her that he had faith she could control his powers.

Yumi's childhood was a disaster. She was a fast learning shinobi, mostly because of her partner who was sealed inside her, but most said she was a natural talent. Of course, Yumi was picked on a lot and was always told that she didn’t belong in Konoha, that she wasn’t a normal person, a monster. Those words hurt her deeply and all that continued on until she graduated the Academy at 7. This was her first chance of proving that she could be a good ninja without the Nibi’s help and she soon proved to be a respectfull ninja. Over the years, Yumi grew protective over her little sister, not wanting her to go through the same thing. She never noticed, but her sister always clinged to her tightly, acting all weird around her, especially when they grew older.

When Yumi ultimately became jounin, she had quite the reknown in the village and people finally stopped looking at her like she was a monster. Still, it didn’t help that no one ever really loved her, that she didn’t have any real friends.. That she had always been alone. Her father was gone so much that even he seemed to pull away from her.

At one time, Yumi had finally found her place within a team and became best friends with them. It was her life and she enjoyed it to the fullest, until one fatefull day, the team was ambushed by some A –and S-rank criminals. They fought like beasts, but it wouldn’t suffice. Their Sensei was struck down and Yumi grew so mad, that the Nibi’s chakra took over her body and ravaged in the area, killing each and every criminal present, but also… Her fellow teammates.. She had killed them and didn’t even notice until Naruto came to seal Mata back in her. When seeing the remains of the battlefield and the bodies that were left behind, Yumi at first didn’t understand what had happened. Naruto explained to her that she lost control over her tailed beast and had saved her team, but in the process, also killed them. She would never be able to forgive herself for what she had done and frankly, she wished she had died that day instead of her teammates. That event left a huge impact on her and changed her from the inside.
From that day on, Naruto had trained her in using her powers and thankfully, it was paying off. She could use the Nibi cloak partially, but it still needed some work. With the new threat lurking around, Naruto had to make sure the girl wouldn’t be in danger if she would encounter someone on her own.

And so, Yumi tries to live a normal life, which is easier said than done.

Y U M IXXH A T A K E

The sun was creeping over the horizon, it's rays gently touching the trees and earth. The black silhouette of a female appeared in it's wake. When the light finally fell on her slender figure, a pale face, decorated with blue hues and silvery hair appearred, the figure of Yumi Hatake, daughter of Kakashi. She looked like a mess.. Hair smuttered with blood, sticking to her face, blood and wounds all across her body. These ANBU mission were starting to get more annoying by the day, especially since she was sent out alone most of the time and today had just been a total disaster. Her mission was to infiltrate a warehouse were it was said that a group of people had been meeting there several times and since those same reports had been coming in over and over again, the Hokage had decided that someone had to go and check out what it was.
Turned out it was a criminal organisation, but not just some criminal organisation. No... It was what they had been looking for so long, the Akatsuki. Of course it had to turn in the wrong direction with one of them noticing her moving around. Not knowing how, they somehow caught sight of her and attacked and had to engage in a fight. Lucky for her, they weren't the higher ups, but only a handfull of rogue ninja. That didn't mean they weren't strong, especially when she was alone and to make things worse, there was no way she could use the Nibi's powers or she would blow her own cover completely.

Over the years, the Akatsuki had been crawling back up, but their organisation had become bigger than before. No one really knew who the higher ups were, as only the 'new members' or the so called 'minions' ran around to gather info, mostly on the Jinchuuriki. Today it was just Yumi's luck that they weren't the higher ups, or she had been in real trouble, but these guys proved to be a challenge as well. Fighting off a dozen of rogue ninja alone wasn't an easy task, not even as an ANBU, but she had to at least try. The Hatake had managed to kill a few of them, but she herself was hit pretty bad as well and right now, she was just trying to get back to Konoha alive. She had already sent a small clone of Matatabi ahead to warn the others that she was being attacked and needed help, but no one had showed up yet. "Stop running girl, we won't let you escape with that info!"] One of the men yelled to her. "Dammit, Konoha isn't far away, but I'm not going to make it like this.." Just as she spoke those words, several figures appeared out of nowhere and as she landed on the ground after jumping through the last of the trees, Yumi was suddenly guarded by several familiar people, two of them being her father and Itachi, who for some reason had reappeared a year back. That wasn't important right now though, the focus was on the ones attacking her, but it seemed the others had already taken care of that.

Kakashi turned himself around to face his daughter and let out a sigh of relief. "Seems like we got here just in time, are you okay?" "I'm fine, just a few scratches, but what are you doing here?" It was a bit weird seeing her father coming along with the ANBU as he was gone most of the time or just busy helping out Naruto. Kakashi gave her a little smile and laugh as she looked over to Itachi. "I just happened to be at Headquarters when the little guy came running in to find Itachi, so I went along. You are my daughter after all" His tone sounded neutral, like it always did, but Yumi could clearly hear the worry in his voice which for some reason made her smile. Yumi's eyes and face then turned to Itachi, giving him a bow in sign of respect. No matter how short he had been back in Konoha, Yumi had respect for him and they were actually pretty good friends, still he was her leader and she had to show her respect. "Thank you for coming to my aid Itachi-sama, I feared I wasn't going to make it" The Uchiha looked at her, his face covered by his mask, but underneath there was a smile. "No need to worry, we came as quick as possible. We shall discuss the rest of this back at Headquarters, come on" He then put pulled her arm up around his neck and made their way back to the village along with Kakashi, the other ANBU and the Akatsuki members they had caught alive.
