Ok, I'm done. You may all go continue living as normal human beings... Oh, how I envy you all...
Okay so this person asked me to beta this fanfiction for them. What do they do exactly?

'Nother Question: I can't remember if fanfiction.net copyrights my material or not. So, to put it simply, does it?

{See how it makes me different?}

Yes, FF.Net copyrights your stories and poems to you, the author. It doesn't copyright the material to themselves; your work remains your work.

And here I am wondering how on earth someone can copy someone else's stories/poems...

@Kuja-san: Exactly what Akane-san said!

@Akane-san: Really? Well, I haven't have English yet see... We have one semester of a core class and I'm unlucky to have THREE core classes in one semester... ;.; Our full schedule is four classes. 3/4 = whoa... crying O__o;; Who wants to look at Romeo's butt? Other than Juilet 'course. *kicks self for being pervy*

NUUU! YOU!! DDDDD:

@Goldie-san: I think so. I'm still new to the beta thing so... *shrugs*

You just write disclaimers by typing it in your story, like at the beginning. For example:

--any author's notes--

Disclaimer: I do not own (insert name here). So stop bugging me!!

--story begins---

You can also just put one disclaimer on the first chapter of your story or whatever. I usually have to say "This is the first and only disclaimer I will write for this!" Yeah...

And also, I think only FictionPress.com copyrights your work for you. Cuz I see at the bottom of the pages "(C) (authors name and year) This cannot be used without the author's consent..."

{Oh s**t, I have fancy posts too.}

I'm sorry, I must sound very dumb for all this. But I still don't quite understand, are you saying I need to say "I do not own my story that I'm currently writing before you all"?

{See how it makes me different?}

LOL. No...I'm bad at explainging things, so don't worry. But what I mean is, you can choose to do two things: 1) either write a disclaimer in each of your chapters, saying you don't know the characters or w/e but you own the plot and any OCs or 2) you can just choose to put one disclaimer in, say, the first chapter, saying it's the only one you will be writing in your story so you don't have to write it again.

I didn't make any more sense, did I? Eh... confused I hope it helps somewhat, though. I think to really understand it, you'd have to look at other people's stories and see how they do their disclaimers.

LOL. Yeah. All the girls were going crazy when that happened, and the boys were all mumbling cuz it only flashed Juliet for a fraction of a second, but yet showed Romeo for like ten minutes. And Romeo, strangely, was naked in front of an open window, so you have to wonder if anyone saw him. Like one of the Capulet guards would look up and be like, "I didn't know Juliet had a p***s." rofl ...sry. My friends and I came to that conclusion one day at lunch.

I only have 4-class semesters also. I had three core courses last semester (and now, for that matter).

Being a beta is like being an editor, I think. Someone writes something, gives it to you. Basically, you read over it and proofread and revise it, seeing if there are any spelling/grammar mistakes or if there is anything that you can add/change to make the story flow a bit better. It's a bit of a tough job, but it's worth it. I've never been a beta myself... But I would if anyone wanted me to beta their story.
@Akane-san: I can't believe they showed it then. rofl Oh wow... *getting over shock*

Sorry for just popping in, but yeah, basically. But you really don't have to put a disclaimer on FanFiction.net because everything on FanFiction obviously belongs to someone else that's why it's fanfiction, but if it makes you feel better you can. FictionPress is different since your putting your own work on that site, things you wrote from your own mind and not based off of others work like fanfictions. It's best if you put a copyright on your work when using FictionPress but they do have the "copyrighted to blahblah year blah blah" and so on so forth...
    Akane-That's what I thought. I wasn't too sure though. Thanks!

Ok, well for those of you interested in Naruto fics, more specifically GaaraSakura, there is this one story I have been reading called "My Life is Over." It is, besides pretty well written, comical, yet serious; and it is just the perfect thing for any GaaraSakura fangirl. Myself included, though I love KakashiSakura just as much (if Sakura was just a bit older, also...)

I have a question that's been bugging me..

Who's Yanagi Kotaroh?
ninja
smile I'm working on a Teen Titans fanfic, but nobody's really paying much attention to it. All my reviews (which are only like...six, or eight, somewhere around there, say it's pretty good though). Basically it involves the city finally falling under Slade's control, and is mainly about the a rebellion forming underground between all the "uniques" and their supporters - including the titans and many of there enemies. They're forced to work together to get back there city, meanwhile, still dealing with a tragic loss, the remaining titans try to find the friendships in each other that they had lost three years beforehand. I really can't do it justice, but it includes characters like:

Slade (obviously), Red X, Kitten, Jinx, Speedy, KidFlash, Blackfire, Bee, Aqualad, and all the other titans and many of the minor villains.

If you're interested in reading it or just bored and wanna chat, message meh whee

Meh and dramallama
    Disenchanted- Sounds interesting ;3
    I haven't read a TT fic in a lloong time. I guess I'm not interested anymore.

Yeah, fanfiction.net does not copyright the works on their site because they are not able to be copyrighted. The reason is you don't own the work you are writing for (such as the plot, universe, characters, etc.) and because of that you don't have ownership of the story. The disclaimer is to say that you do not own the work and, hopefully, saying that someone else owns it the person who does won't cause you any problems. As well, you cannot sell your story for profit.

Fictionpress allows the owner of the work to upload it to their site. If, for some reason, you wish to later publish that work you can because you still own the copyright to it.
@Akane-san: He played Echizen Ryoma in a few Prince of Tennis Musicals. He's the first and second, I suppose. Well, there's different number of casts [I think we're up to 3] and he's part of the first and second... Ugh, confusing. But the point is! He played Echizen Ryoma for Tennis no Oujisama: The Musical, skip a few and then with the second cast for a while. *nods* Endou Yuuya and Sakurada Doori also played Echizen Ryoma as the second and third ones respectively.
