Are you kidding me?! The economy was booming, thanks to all the money we were spending on the war, nationalism was flowing through the hearts of every citizen, the power of the atom was finally discovered and harnessed, soldiers were thought of as heroes rather than murderers, people weren't so uptight about being politically incorrect ("Slap a jap, buy war bonds!" wink , Marvel and DC had just started. What's so bad about it!

Surviving is just procrastination, Miyu. And I'm not saying that the shouldn't be punished. We got Hitler. We got Saddam. But the people who died will be forgotten as time moves onward. One of the greatest strengths of the human species is our ability to move on. Is it a tragedy when someone gets gunned down for now reason? Yes. Can we do anything about it now? No. When life leaves the body, why try to change it? It happened. It's a fact.

Which is why we have wars! Innocent people are being killed -> We go after the people who are killing the innocent to stop it.

Not to mention, people who can't handle the death of others are probably not able to function by themselves. That's not exactly something we want to promote.
