I already have, I figured that such a fan of the show would have a better description than:

"The main character of Death Note, Light is an extremely intelligent but bored 17-year old student. Light Yagami, a 17-yr-old protege finds himself bored with school life and always getting top marks. He discovers the Death Note, a notebook purposely dropped in the Human World by a bored Shinigami named Ryuk. After discovering the Death Note's powers to kill, he takes it onto himself to create a new world by elimiating criminals. The mysterious killings and the elusiveness earns him the name Kira, unable to be tracked by police, a mysterious and engamatic detective, known only as L, sets out to capture and bring down Kira. L challenges Kira and the two begin a race to discover the other's identity even as a second Kira emerges from the shadows. As Kira gains more and more support from the world, Light's personality splits, from the diligent Kira hunter who is stumped at every turn even as he works with L, to the psychotic and narcissistic Kira bent on destroying criminals and all "evil" of the world to reign as the world's new "god."
