Manga: There was a girl named Mayu that was in love with him in Middle School. He actually admitted to having feelings for her, however, he couldn't pursue the relationship because Kurama-kun's a demon and he didn't want her to get involved with all of that. So, he erased her memories of ever knowing him, to protect her from what may happen if she were to get involved.

Anime: In the second-to-last episode, Kurama-kun was talking with Hiei-kun. And this was meant as a funny joke to make Hiei irriated. Okay, so Hiei throws him the tear-gem that Yukina gave him (this was so Kurama-kun could give the gem back to Yukina, stating that her brother was dead). Jokingly, Kurama-kun looks at the gem and says "I cannot accept this. You are a great friend, but I'm afraid I do not see you that way". Hiei-kun, with a big sweatdrop on his head, shouts, "That's not why I'm handing it to you!" Then Kurama-kun laughs and says, "Relax, it was just a joke."

MAN OP. if you are still around, awesome possum story. I love it! Makes me glad there is some fanfiction out there that doesn't make baby Jesus cry...or more likely make Koenma cry. If you haven't updated then, you've left me hanging, cause this was great.
