Welcome to Gaia's forums, where millions of members gather to discuss random stuff, make new friends,
complain about life, argue about nothing, laugh at dumb pictures, discuss serious issues and/or curse like sailors.

Lurking is creepy. Quit skulking in the shadows and join the conversation!

By not working.
Zero workers = total collapse of the entire system.

...in theory, that is.

Somehow I don't think this is going to happen, at all. Money is essential and important to our society.

It's all fine and good until the man selling the bread still demands coin.

Well, in the Venus Project's resource based economy, the bread maker will have no use for coin, as everything he could spend said coin on will be free.

But again, while I'm all for it, that won't happen for years!

Retardation in bold. It won't happen at all. If everything's free, people think they don't need to work. The idea of saving and working for something special will disappear forever. Just a bunch of hippies who smoked the last of their brains out back in '68.

Actually strikes, especially on this scale, encourage Capitalist views by allowing companies that can easily survive the drought to kill off their competition.

Have you ever been hungry?

People who have: 41
Your only going to get fools who strictly believe in the current system to post on this thread, I mean look around this is gaia after all.

They're pretty much hopeless when it comes to a revolution.

"you have baked me too brown, i must sugar my hair."
as a duck with its eyelids, so he with his nose
trims his belt and his buttons, and turns out his toes.

Fallacious assumption in bold. Humanity is very young, and always progressing. You can't back that claim.

I've been spending my whole life
Pursuing those who built this cell
Lamenting
All the hateful things that happened to me
Now I know
That I cannot turn back and change the past
The only choice to save myself
Is to change what I carry from it

In the 80's Ronald Reagan forced air traffic controllers to end their strike because it endangered public safety.
