Welcome to Gaia! ::

Touchy subject, I know, so I'll try to stay as objective as I can while still getting points across.
But I want to hear from you guys. The ED always gives me an interesting perspective or two.

Any thoughts on world peace?

Any thoughts on world peace?
It will never exist.

Peace x World = World peace
People + World = What we have now.
World peace + People = (People x intentions x evil^3 + 1/1^pi) / 0 + 1/1^(42 + 13i)

It will never exist.

Peace x World = World peace
People + World = What we have now.
World peace + People = People x intentions x evil^3 + 1/^pi

I had a feeling you guys would say that. So herein exists my counterargument for all to gloriously observe and ponder:

Tolerance.

(I like your formula, although you should have used the cube of i instead of 3.)

That man... is strange. He does not convince me to change my views. Also, he fails.

Sry, allow me to make this clearer.

The answer to "How do we achieve world peace?" is simple: international trade.

As long as every country is dependent on the other for exportation and importation of the other's product they will be less likely to attack someone else since it would affect them in the long run.

Example: I like rum. I hate Stan. I kill Stan. Stan can't make his special cupcakes anymore. Eliza really likes Stan's cupcakes. Eliza makes my rum. Eliza is too depressed without the cupcakes to make my rum. Now I am sad for I am rumless and it is my fault.

You could also economically enslave India Stan without actually calling India Stan a slave.

True, but then India Stan would end up revolting and Britain I would end up looking like a complete a*****e.
World Peace: NIce idea, but hardly attainable due to human nature. In basic World Peace as I see it people would be satisfied with everything and would be happy to have what they own. However, this isn't the case as someone may desire what someone else has, and thus there isn't peace between the two.

Now think of it as say The United States having lots of water and here comes Mexico who has been going in a drought asking for some water to save it's poor starving citizens. The U.S., however cannot spare a drop as it needs the water for it's own citizens. And so in this scenario, Mexico attacks the United States for the resource of water. No World Peace.
Human nature, like all creatures, makes peace impossible. And even if it was possible, war has achieved things throughout history. The question should obviously always be the legitimacy of said wars rather than arbitrarily declaring all war bad.

If slaves host a violent revolt and then free themselves, is this not a just war? etc

But then Britain you would sit back and indulge on working class taxes rum to satisfy your pain, while Guy Fawkes cavities would attempt to assassinate rot-out most of your members of parliament teeth, with Guy Fawkes alchohol also attempting to destroy your king liver.
World Peace will never be possible. Since Humans are assholes by nature. If animals can't live in peace nor can humans since clearly we are animals as well.

Word Peace People = Wars and little conflicts (car got stolen, house got robbed, got slapped in the face ...etc.)

World Peace No People = Nothing. Just peace and quietness.
