Rosetta Celestine
Nope. I said some
extremist feminists. There are actually many different forms of feminism. The media tends to focus on the extremists groups and give them more attention. This causes the entire movement to be misconstrued as one of man-hating frothing-at-the-mouth lunatics who hate chivalry and romance, which is so far from the truth.
The extremist form of feminism demoralized the nice guys and made them afraid to do romantic things like holding doors for their date because they were afraid they'd be chewed out by an "independent" woman. Feminism didn't do this, extremism did.
If it helps to know, I consider myself a feminist.
Like I said, feminism gave women choices and voices--it shouldn't be tied to idiots (these people are NOT fewminists nor are the people who confuse them as feminists, feminist themselves) since that's not what feminism is about. Also, a man's choice is his own choice. A woman is NOT obligated to roll over for those choices. More than likely these men who are too afraid to be romantic or considerate are often approaching perfect strangers, need no help or anything, in these acts. Also, people usually ask for help when they need it such as someone opening a door or something.
