Feminine and masculine are cultural designations. Assertion and dominance are considered masculine traits in many (most) cultures and submission a feminine one. As such, yes. However, this does not mean that it is inherent to a woman, or proper for a woman, to be submissive.

Nope. I said some extremist feminists. There are actually many different forms of feminism. The media tends to focus on the extremists groups and give them more attention. This causes the entire movement to be misconstrued as one of man-hating frothing-at-the-mouth lunatics who hate chivalry and romance, which is so far from the truth.

The extremist form of feminism demoralized the nice guys and made them afraid to do romantic things like holding doors for their date because they were afraid they'd be chewed out by an "independent" woman. Feminism didn't do this, extremism did.

If it helps to know, I consider myself a feminist.
