Define "strength".

I think men and women are more alike than we are different.

Physically, men have a hormonal advantage when it comes to muscle mass.

Emotionally, women have a social advantage in that we are encouraged to openly express our feelings and problems to deal with them, unlike men who are conditioned to ignore their emotions.

We all go down different streams but we all end up in the same ocean.

Are we talking emotionally/mentally? I can be more tolerant and patient than some guys I know and some are far more tolerant and patient with things than I am.

I've had a couple of men tell me women are stronger in the sense we have babies; the same as "pushing a watermelon out of a lemon,' as one put it.

Or physically? I'm pretty strong with all the barn work I do, but I still can't lift half the things I've seen some of my guy friends lift. Likewise, there are a couple of guys who can't lift what I lift.

By average physical strength, dimorphic difference mean men are generally more physically strong than women.

However, under most other definitions of 'strong' I can conceive of; this is entire subjective and contextual - though female- and male- pattern psychological make-ups may have some bearing on cognitive phenotypes, I feel it is largely down to life experience and genetics how one reacts to given situations and whether that could be construed as 'strength' or not. I'd analogue the effects of brain-patternedness on psychological profile to the effects of genotypes on obesity - they have some directional and general influence, but ultimately whether you are 'strong' or fat is a matter of lifestyle.
