Like most decent people, I was sick to my stomach upon learning that two good ol boys went on a random shooting spree, shooting five black people(three of whom died) It was top headline news for several days, tho eclipsed ultimately by the Trayvon case.
Yet in the last month, we're also learning about other horrific hate crimes. Some of these so brutal I cant even wrap my mind around them.
- A white teen was chased down, attacked, doused with gasoline and set ablaze by two older black teens. "This is what you get white boy". The kid is now horrifically disfigured, blinded...his life is over. Apparently the teens were motivated for "revenge for trayvon"
- Two older black teens randomly attacked a 19 year old white guy walking on the street. They wanted to "avenge Trayvon". They pinned the guy down, beat him senseless with a large tree branch and then repeatedly kicked in and bashed his head in with their boots.
- And a 30 something white guy was chased down by a group of 20 or so black adults, savagely beaten with metal poles, unopened paint cans, bricks. "This is justice for tryavon" they shouted.
there may be other cases, but these are the ones that stand out
Now what in the ******** ********? If these had been black victims, and the attackers white...my God...thered be calls for race riots. In some of these cases the assailants havent even been caught.
Why is it when an innocent white, gay, hispanic, asian, etc person is brutally attacked in unthinkable ways by a black person, its not a hate crime? And the media doesnt cover it?
As human beings ALL senseless violence against anyone should horrify us and recieve equal coverage.
"Justice For Trayvon"...like the LA Riots, bad people are not only using that case to justify evil, BUT the media seems to aggressively be fanning the flames of ethnic hatred and divide.
And truth be told, as as much as Im a right wing disliking leftist...Im not entirely sure Zimmerman is lying. When the President, the UN, the entire media, etc is all trying to tell us what to think...I have to start to question it. Yet even if he is guilty, celebrities and militant black hate groups calling for 'vigilante' justice doesnt seem very American either.
