...This is like asking why any food at all if candy is your favorite.

First, you are automatically assuming that all men in America favor blonde hair, and refuse to even attempt to love anything otherwise. Both are false. As long as the man doesn't have any race or appearance based "requirements" for dating, they are willing to date anyone they find has a good personality.

Of course, there are the jerks who are only attracted to blondes only for sexual purposes, but that is not the majority. In fact, these days it's the vast minority, because natural blondes are about as common as chocolate in a Skittle factory.
