NOW I WON'T BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE FOR IT WAS MADE BY MAN AS IT WAS MENT TO SHOW MORALS NOT FACTS...there is proof of this. but i will believe in science for it has more evidence then what the bible can actually show. now science has made what we have now possible as well as discovering what we do not already know or understand... lets hear what you will believe in of which you think is correct...

i believe in both. however, the big bang theory makes absolutely no sense. where's the proof in that? you hear it comes from science, right? but where's the proof? there is none. because it's a theory! theory means "plausible" not "solid evidence." a scientific law is solid evidence. theory. scientific law. theory. scientific law. say it with me! theory. scientific law. okay, i think you get it now. sin embargo, believing in the bible does take a huge amount of faith. but i'd rather believe in something that has an insurmountable amount of proof than something in which even the creator says it's just a theory, and that there's no supporting evidence. crunchy, right? let's not make a scene only to fall flat on your face.

and please realize that science and the bible can go together. it's only the theories that conflict with what god has said. think before you post.

kthxbye.

Two things wrong:

1) Scientific theory is not the same as regular theory. A scientific theory must have some significant support in order to to be valid, whether that be through physical evidence or other valid means. For example, evolutionary theory has been proven through physical evidence and string theory has been proven though mathmatical equations.

2) The Big Bang has been proven to be a possibility mathmatically, which is why it is regarded as a valid (though debated) scientific theory.

Look up the meaning of scientific theory.

i don't mean to sound ignorant, but i've never heard of the string theory. sweatdrop
and thank you (genuinely) for correcting me.

but either way, most of everything can be proven mathematically, if one changes the b value (or maybe, it's the k, i dunno!) in the equation to their liking (i.e., the age of the earth). and still, it's a theory. and it hasn't been thoroughly proven so as to make it a law.

when one thinks about it, it takes the same amount of faith to believe in the big bang theory as it does in the seven day creation that's described in the bible. however, i still stand by my beliefs.
Which one? Neither.

I remember reading that the Big Bang theory was actually devised by Christians. They used it in support of the idea of a God and Creation.

Science is man-made as well. neutral
BUT Science is researched and proven, while Religion is blindly assumed as correct.

I'll believe science, and save the ******** science-fiction readings for someone who cares.

I choose the bible. Not because it's made up of facts. I know that it's just a book of stories that was created to lay out a guideline for man kind. But wasn't science also created by man? I choose the bible because I wish to believe in a life after death. And I also believe that this question cannot be proven on either side. Science vs Religion is purely a matter of personal opinion and, or preference. My personal preference is religion. Now try and argue my opinion biggrin .

You are incorrect in your assumption of the purpose of the Bible. The Bible explains God's plan of salvation. I believe in God and science. I trust scientific laws, and hold out on scientific theories when I question the motivation behind them. The evolution crowd seems more interested in undermining our Creator than the science itself. There are religious quacks and junk science. The Bible warns us to "guard our hearts". I just recommend people know why they believe what they believe.

In Christ,

pastor matt

you speak wise, but i am sorry if i offended you in some way. i am a christian, i have a read the bible when i was young and i only found morals in it. i know what most people think the bible is for. but for what i believe in is that we should choose our own paths for we may learn more stuff that way. what i follow is the road i chose. some may call this insane but i chose whatever path unchosen, i take with no regret. the bible to me is just morals and stories. but your standards are also correct pastor for i hold nothing against you. for the people must choose alone and make their own decisions. to me this way they will gain experience over crisis and learn the harsh truth about reality and what to do with their lives. i am just stating a opinion which resides in my mind, nothing else... thank you for your thoughts...

Alright, lets get one thing straight:

RELIGION AND SCIENCE WERE BOTH CREATED BY MAN!!!

Now that that's out of the way, I choose both.
I think ppl focus too hard on whether science or religion is correct, but I think if we just put together the religion AND science then it makes more sense, and then we can find out wat is true or false.
The Bible.
It always seems that Science is the right path to chose, but Darwin had a very large flaw. When he went to teh galapagos Islands, who is to say he didn't become mentally ill? I think, no, I KNOW that the bible is real, and that the evolution of species is a pathetic attempt to hide the truth that anyone who doesn't follow the path of a Christian and doesn't believes that Jesus Christ died on a Roman cross innocently for the salvation of all, is a fool.

Anyone who believes what I believe, post it on my site, or reply to my comment
