I don't feel there is a 'war' on anybody. Neither gender needs a crusade, we just need to put down the pitchforks and look at each other for a moment, realize that the other side is hurting just as much. Maybe when we do that, we can finally right these wrongs and get on with our lives.
Could be

I sure hope so. I'm sick of seeing a world where women in power are judged on their looks rather than their actual polices and ideals, and where men aren't allowed to show their emotions but rather are pressured to be stoic and violent. These things are completely silly, and need to change.

What?!

I'm stoic and violent but I have plenty of emotions D:

Of course you do, people are emotional by nature. It's how we best communicate with one another, after all. But people still frown on men crying because they feel moved by something, or displaying affection by more gentle means (non-bro hug and a smile, anyone?). These actions are sectioned of as 'homosexual/woman territory' when they should be available for everyone. Self expression is a crucial part of the human experience, just as much as acceptance is; men shouldn't have to feel like they have to stifle their more 'effeminate' reactions simply because it doesn't fit some outrageous ideal of manhood.

I want a society that tells guys 'You're human, it's okay to have a sensitive side', instead of telling them to bury all their feelings and discharge them in some violent hobby. 3nodding

Nah, that's only a minority; men are generally told it's manly to be sensitive to things.

The aspect is to be the hero, and save people from being hurt, that's instilled into us.

To make personal sacrifices to ensure the well being of others, particularly your family.

Or die trying.

Like, if a really nice car gets destroyed; then it's okay to cry. Give them it's respect.

Or obviously if someone dies. People like bane are portrayed as bad guys, while people like Batman are portrayed as heroes; caring for people is what makes a person manly, imo, and a good father would, of course. xp

Of course there is an underground sub-culture who says X is manly of whatevsz.

But hardly anyone really considers those people manly. xp

These super villains, joker, bane, show a dichotomy of Batman; theatricality, strength, in *some* ways intelligence (although it's always proven at the end they had some sort of gimmick. Bane knew who batman was becuae Raz al Gul knew, as did the league of shadows, since Batman trained with them for a while, and gave them his identity and stuff).

But in the end it's their morality that makes him superior. Of course a weak, dumb criminal wouldn't ever have the discipline or capabilities to get that strong or well organized and if they were that smart in the first place they wouldn't commit crimes and kill random people. But that's all a part of the story, to make the dichotomy clear.

But what if a man were to cry because he found a sunset beautiful, or because he was overjoyed to see his relative getting married? It's only socially acceptable for guys to cry when something overwhelmingly tragic happens, and I feel like that shouldn't be the case.

I guess I'm getting at is that guys shouldn't have to be the hero all the time. They should be allowed to be Clark Kent instead of Superman and not be shamed for it.

But heroes cry.

Just not when they stub their toe. ninja
Feminists can be men. You, sir, are not very educated on anything.

War on men, you say?

Considering that the vast majority of government officials, military leaders, and corporate heads in every single industry are male, this has got to be one of the most unsuccessful wars I've ever seen.

I wouldn't say that there is a war on men, but there are certainly men's rights issues.

No disagreement; the raw amount of stupid s**t we hoist on boys in this society, so many of it contradictory, is inexcusable. But a "war"? I don't really even believe in a war on women, honestly.
I think the fact that women are more likely to be granted primary custody has less to do with women "lobbying" than it does the idea that women are naturally caring and automatically the preferred caregiver. We know this is not true in a lot of cases.

Men have problems, women have problems. Men are made to believe that they should be driven by logic, rationale, and no room for emotions, while women are made to feel that they are controlled primarily by their bodies, and can't trust their own feelings. It's all BS. Because we haven't yet attained equality between the sexes, there is distance between them, and it's natural that each would be more empathetic to their own sex. Both sexes are tormented by stupid social norms and expectations.
Personally, I don't see how parading the wrong-doings of either sex supports the other's case.
The "war on women", as recently defined, has nothing to do with patriarchy or rape culture. The term "war on women" was coined due to actions against abortion and birth control.
Ummmm the abortion issue is not about women's rights, and it never was. Ask ANYBODY who is against abortion, and they'll tell you they're anti-abortion for one reason: Because they are against killing babies. That's it. It was NEVER to keep women down, or to put women in their place, or any of these false accusations. NO woman should have the right to kill a baby. Should we support a woman's right to rob a convenience store? How about a woman's right to manufacture crystal meth? Or a woman's right to burn buildings? There are some things NO HUMAN should have the right to do, and killing a baby is one of them.

Considering the fact that mean usually rule the house hold, don't get periods, are less likely to get raped, don't have to worry about not getting a job based on their a**/tits, don't have to spend excess money buying bras, tampons, birth control pills and makeup. They don't have to worry about birthing children AND if they get a woman pregnant they can give up their rights to the child and not have to pay child support. While the mother will be looked down on for getting an abortion. Men don't have to fight to get equal pay, they didn't have to fight for the right to vote, men are usually physically stronger , men don't have to shave their legs/ under arms, you have by feet? So what most men take pride in their big feet.

So where is the war again?

You made some points I very much agree with but I have to point out that number six has nothing to do with a war on anyone.

It's always been this way. It's not news and it is not something personal, just the way things are.

Human males aren't the only males this rule applies to, either. I didn't want to wade into the argument too much since I have some very strong personal opinions on the matter but I figured I could at least toss that out there. Number six just has nothing to do with the rest of your argument since it's not something 'done' to anyone, it is just the way things are.

First off it's not a baby, its a fetus/zygote/ cluster of cells, depending on how long it's been feeding off of her. It effects the woman's body immensely, morning sickness, can't sleep on their back, swollen feet, weight gaining, stretch marks, hormonal changes. Second how is a convenience store affecting a woman's body? She's not carrying it around in her swollen uterus for 9 months. How is it that the government shouldn't stick its nose in a business by making them pay each gender equally, but it's completely okay for the government to say what I can't do with my body.

[Skeptical]

Considering the sheer amount of legislation being proposed by the GOP, I'm legitimately confused as to how you could think otherwise.

Probably cause guy's are typically more competitive so there are a lot of drunken "hey watch this". Also they usually don't worry about what they eat, McDonalds admits they aim for males between 16-25. And for whatever reason guys don't like going to the doctor all that much.

Nobody likes a whiny man or woman. Misogynists and feminists are whiny. Kindergarten is over, get over the cooties.
Men's rights activists are more whiny than misogynists. Misogynists don't strike me as particularly whiny.

No we aren't whinny. We just tell you how it is. Women are sluts. Through and through.

Think about it

Women are worse than sluts.

It cost about $100/hr for an average call girl/escort/prostitute.

$8/hr is minimum wage depending on your state.

One date takes about 3 hours.

$8 * 3 hours = $24

So based on these numbers, women give themselves away on a one night stand for less than a low-class hooker.

Prostitutes put a higher price on their pussies than most women.

Based on these numbers; Just to be considered on par with the average hooker, you have to wait at least 4 dates before giving yourself away.

How many guys have women had sex with?

Based on the average age of 15 for women becoming sexually active, at just a measly 3 partners a year (one every 4 months),
women will have had over 30 partners by the time they are 25.

If your willing to give your uterus away to that many men for seemingly nothing, how much are you really worth?

Less than a cheap hooker.

Women are too easy nowadays.
17 yr old virgin over here. And not "really" easy, seeing as guys plot and plan on how to trick her and lie saying he loves her, then he ******** her and moves on to someone else, and the cycle just continues.
