That's actually a pretty rational fear.

I am actually trying to figure out how someone would do this and not be obvious and/or burnt by the coffee. If they took a mug of coffee into the bathroom-I think there would be some looks and it would likely splash all over the place unless they put their butt very close to it. If they used an entire coffee pot than it would be easier to control for splashing, but taking it to the bathroom would be far more suspicious and detectable.
