Imaginary Marionette
Hmm.. I'm of two minds on this topic.
I think people should leave smokers the ******** alone, as long as they're not smoking around children, babies, pregnant women, or really anyone. Most smokers make an effort not to smoke around other people, so unless you want to politely ask them to move downwind, you should really leave them be.
But marijuana... I don't have a problem with it's
use. But I do think it should be regulated like alcohol. That means you have to be 18 or 21 to buy it, and you can't drive on it. I don't want a high person on the road, whether there are significant statistics supporting my fears or not.
I concur. Considering the lethality of motor vehicles, it is probably best that we enforce the clearest state of mind possible for all drivers. I am well aware that there are capable drivers who are seemingly unimpaired by these substances, but there are those who will be and it is best to disallow it.
I would be willing to reconsider the age limitation on purchasing substances, since the US has a penchant for having the highest age requirements of any nation in the world, and that stinks like baseless conservatism.
