Hmm.. I'm of two minds on this topic.

I think people should leave smokers the ******** alone, as long as they're not smoking around children, babies, pregnant women, or really anyone. Most smokers make an effort not to smoke around other people, so unless you want to politely ask them to move downwind, you should really leave them be.

But marijuana... I don't have a problem with it's use. But I do think it should be regulated like alcohol. That means you have to be 18 or 21 to buy it, and you can't drive on it. I don't want a high person on the road, whether there are significant statistics supporting my fears or not.

I am for a complete ban on marijuana. Only because the people who smoke it seem to be the biggest douchebags. Like, they make it into a ******** lifestyle about how they smoke some damn plant. It becomes part of their identity, much like being "straight edge". It's ******** retarded and I despise the people who do it.

I concur. Considering the lethality of motor vehicles, it is probably best that we enforce the clearest state of mind possible for all drivers. I am well aware that there are capable drivers who are seemingly unimpaired by these substances, but there are those who will be and it is best to disallow it.

I would be willing to reconsider the age limitation on purchasing substances, since the US has a penchant for having the highest age requirements of any nation in the world, and that stinks like baseless conservatism.

Banning a substance because you disapprove of the personal nuances of the user's lifestyle is immature at best. Perhaps you should concentrate on your life, and not the potheads sitting around giggling to themselves.

It saddens me that someone is so put out by the happiness of others that they would seek to take it away from them. Reconsider your stance for a moment.

Alcoholics are complete and utter douchebags too. Should there be a ban on alcohol because some people abuse it?

Edit: I'd also like to point out that I indulge in marijuana occasionally, and it's hardly part of my identity. I rarely do it.

I smoke it all the time and it's still not a part of my identity. I glorify it no more than those damn chicken taquitos I love so much.

I, however, find it distressing that someone would consider taking legal action as a reaction to someone's "identity".

Yeah. That's a screwed up way to think. That's like making it illegal for guys to wear tight pants because you don't like emo and scene kids.

People make more insignificant aspects of their personality part of their identity and no one has a problem with it, but since it's smoking pot, it's a problem.

He wasn't talking about people who abuse pot, he was talking about pretty much all users. And you are all douchebags. Look at the way you talk about your own use. "Oh I indulge in marijouana occasionally." You all have this retarded attitude towards it like it's awesome but it's just pathetic.

Don't mock the way I talk.
I don't think it's awesome, nor do I think it's pathetic. It's on the same level as alcohol to me.

Do you think alcohol users are pathetic? People who indulge in alcohol occasionally?

Someone wearing tight pants or being a scene kid doesn't cause the death of hundred of thousands like alcohol and drugs do.

Well, it could...
Seriously though. I was just underlining the fact that basing an illegality on the dislike of someone's 'identity' is wrong. It's not an identity factor.

So, you would have a problem with a person whose identity is marked by collecting guns as well?

What I find funny is that the people who are hardcore against this stuff never even consumed it.

Well why would they, if they were hardcore against it? That's like... a religious nut considering the fact that there might not be a god. Not going to happen.
