Could that be possible? I mean, science explains as a circle. There is no branches.
Science doesn't explain time at all.
People try to use science to explain it, but no one has it figured out yet.
All we know is that it exists, how it effects us and that it can be manipulated. We don't know why and we don't know it's limits.
You know, that fourth dimension obviously is not scientific at all.

And there are a myriad of ways that traversing the fourth dimension may be possible. THere is a device being designed right now, actually. A few feet in length, is has a grid of high energy lasers. The internal heat is about that of the surface of the Sun. It is believed to cause time to stop within that grid. So if someone should say, put a photon in there, or a series of photons to deliver a message, it would be visible in that grid indefinitely. So long as it turns on. So when they finally turn this thing on, they might see a message from a hundred or more in the future. And a hundred or more years in the future, you can put a message in there, that will be viewable up until the machine was last turned on. You turn it off, you loose that grid, time flows normally and the photons whiz away, their information scattered.

It is believed that most time traveling devices will be like this. That you can not go to a time before the machine was turned on. Because whatever effect it had on the space-time fabric will dissipate as soon as it looses power, and it would have to be started up again.

Though then again, how do we know that UFOs aren't from the future? What better way to learn where you came from, then to observe it personally? Just a passing thought.

But as of yet, there is not enough conclusive data to determine if time travel is possible, or impossible. Other than our one second a second current rate, of course (though that's rather inaccurate, since time fluctuates depending on your speed).

Well, if what you said is true and time is explained as a circle, then one could assume that a time machine could be invented and someone could go inside and instead of going back in time, the person in the time machine would be put in a state of cry-stasis, where they would technically "sleep" for that time, and come back at the time they desire. So, they would really be going forward at a normal rate, they just happen to arrive at the time desired in the second occurrence (or whatever occurrence).
You may only go forwards and back from when the time machine was first started. You can't go back at the time before the machine was started.

Dear, to go back in time, one would have to move at such incredible speed that the very energy particles around and inside you go in reverse. To achieve that is nearly impossible to mankind, and I assure you, the safest and most practical attempt would be to ONLY GO FORWARD, as I stated before in my hashing out of his "circular time-flow" theory.
We kind of have...

... if you think about it, its not like in the movies at all... but taking a picture is kinda of like time travel. Yoiu can look at the photo or video and see what things were like in the past.

Didn't ever think we would. At least not in my lifetime, hell, probably not even in my great grandchildren's lifetime. But wouldn't it just be fantastic if we could? We'd have no reason to be bored, with all that time left behind us... (I personally wouldn't want to go forward in time, the past interests me way more... xd )
But time travel, to me it's just another one of our crazy dreams, that we just can't reach. I really doubt it'll ever be physically possible.
Time travel is theoretically possible using worm holes. What needs to happen is the worm hole needs to be looped and then you whenever you enter the worm hole you are transported to the time when the worm hole loop was first created. Of course worm holes themselves are theoretical and we'd need a way to travel at the speed of light to get into the worm hole but it's theoretically possible.

We will never achieve the ability to travel through time i know because no one has shown up yet through history saying "I am from the ~FUTURE!~" thus there is no period where we achieve that ability.
nah i don think so cuz it aint eazy lyk in da movie bak to da future ya digg??

Even if we could, we should never mess with the fabric of time. Like in the story called "The Sound of Thunder", someone simpley stepped on a bug and it caused a clusterf*** that completely changed their present time

Hello arrogance. How are you today?
this time period is just very boring for the people of the future.
well i think i f we made a time machine wed make a time paradox and the world would come to exist no more....either that or wed enter a parrelel universe...
