'm not sure where the conversation is at this point; I'll have more time to read all seven pages later. I just wanted to say that I'm willing to bet that many "Rescuers" out there are not simply raping children they find, but dragging them underground into the international sex trades.

Sex tourism, children in brothels, pornography. There were some great possibilities for folks to snatch kids up for those purposes--I'm wondering if there are people still looking for the bodies of their kids who will end up thinking they're adrift at sea, when really, their child is alive and in slavery.

That even during times of crisis there are truly wicked people who think only of themselves and their twisted needs to sexually exploit children? What makes me laugh with irritation is that laws in the 'civilized' world prohibit would-be perverts from legally getting away with such acts... but it doesn't stop them from going to other countries where they can get away with molestation or rape. It's almost like each 'civilized' country has to put on a show for the other while the perverts will continue being perverts.

Basically, the laws are just there for show; they're not making the numbers of perverts decrease or stopping them from seeking their sick pleasures elsewhere.

It's true that that happens in many places of africa, the reasoning behind it is that women were created to procreate. they are here to give sons and bare the children of their husbands and whom ever else has intercourse with the women, So to make sure that women do not gain power by feeling plesure in sex, they slice off the c**t, and certain bits of tissue from inside the v****a that carry nervs related to sexual plesure. it is theire cultures ways. I for one think its aweful and sexist, but that's how those tribes have done it for centuries and i can't judge it.

Actually America has a higher yearly rape percent than Africa. The greatest number of people are raped in America than in any other country in the world. I believe that Aftrica is third, though. Humans are such a sad species.

rape percentage... not number... remember they are different. and no, Africa isn't a country... but rather the countries in Africa....
anyway. this fact is the one that states teh most about human nature. Africans at least commit rape mostly from ignorance and fear. it is only in america, the most afluent, all around wealthy country in the world where rape has become an epidemic. isn't it funny taht the more that people have, the more s**t they donate to the world. and it really is important to remember that rape like this is about dominance, not sex. if it was about sex, it would be easy to cure. but this is about dominating and controlling someone for pleasure.

this is actually true the whole world around. cults and small religious groups in america have done it. a large chunk of the islamic world uses this method as well. it is sad, but again, it goes along with a lot of odd views of feminine sexuality that flower around the world today. after all, why is it that a man who is sexually active is a little devil, or has conquests, while a woman is a slut, or sleeps around?
but this is more of an issue of the problems within a patriarchal society than the horrible things that rape shows about humanity.
