BAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWW. No, you and Poe had big douchebaggary drama when I was on leave that made you leave in the first place. I was obviously referring to stuff that happened when I wasn't here when I said this. You all blame me, use me as the scapegoat, say it only happens when I'm on, when you know that stupid s**t is far from the truth. It would help if you were more parsimonious about it.

Anyway, trans issues. GID diagnosis is very easy to get "if you have GID". What if you don't? Is it easy to fake? All you have to do is tell your psych that you have these cross-gender feelings and that you have dysphoria, right?

If you don't have GID, it is incredibly hard to fake. But if you have a stupid or lazy therapist they might make a false diagnosis or assume you're being truthful. My therapist was actually extraordinarily through in his evaluation of my condition.

Generally if you just "tell them" you have these feelings they're SUPPOSED to ask you a series of investigative questions, take notes, and check for consistency. In some instances they will ask family members and friends (for instance if you claimed to have been cross dressing for 3 years) to verify information. This was not really done in my case primarily because I told him straight up that I had not done anything "externally obvious" aside from being a tomboy and cross dressing for a year prior which I could prove with timestamped photographic evidence (he didn't ask for it though because according to his analysis of all the information I have him this was an unimportant detail).

Thing is, a lot of people do slip through the cracks. Some of them live in delusion and never actually experience reverse-dysphoria (dysphoria after transition). There is no explanation as to why this really is. I theorize (obvious this is a "personal hypothesis") that it has to do with the fact that despite not reaching a clinical threshold for actually having GID, these patients still want to live the fantasy of being the opposite sex. Essentially doing the right thing for the wrong reasons. It could be dangerous but if it isn't, who cares? In the cases of delusional patients living a fantasy, they tend to have a long list of other issues that makes life difficult for them.

Overall, it completely depends on the doctor. If the process of diagnosis is done correctly, it is incredibly hard to slip through the cracks and be misdiagnosed.
