I am sorry, but you will have to find something a tad more credible than a Chick tract to base your argument off before I take you seriously.

Still not seeing proof. I've seen Unerring's posts before and this is perfectly in line with them.

Role playing games are fine for most people. But if you have a child that sits in his or her room 24/7s, I'd try and steer them away from RPGs because they're already exhibiting some serious issues.

Usually not the fault of the roleplay, but the fault of the parent for allowing it to take up all of their time.

True.

Well, now Lord Mr. Ford, I just wish that you could see
What your simple horseless carriage has become
Well, it seems your contribution to man
To say the least, got a little out of hand
Lord Mr. Ford what have you done.

Not as popular as it was in the 80s. Aren't a lot of the crazies going after Harry Potter and Pokemon nowadays?

How are you going to prove I am a troll? I have painstakingly researched this information with help from my friend who is studying psychology and religion in college. He said that the case of Dallas comes up everytime they mention role playing games. The detective who worked the case cited that it was because of role playing that Egbert disappeared. Sure, he later recanted and said that he couldn't tell the truth, but if he was really going to keep such a dark promise, then why would he ever tell it all? So again, so he how I am trolling....I think that if you read enough of my post history, it speaks volumes of trying to understand others and how they think.

You stay in character, too, but that doesn't mean you're legit.

Of course, unerring DOES have a point. It's an undeniable fact that role playing can have dire consequences on the mental well being of kids, case in point. The fact that role playing can be dangerous is above discussion and not an issue, the real question to ask here is whether role playing CAUSES children to go insane or merely ENABLES them to.

That why you used ridiculous sources that, considering a good deal of them are more targeted specifically at Christian players anyway (hint: not all of us are Christian.)

That's because it was a sensationalized as hell tragedy that in passing involved what was a small subculture.

HE. DID. NOT.

Because, again, Egbert was involved with a little understood subculture in passing, and he smelled sensationalism on the hoof. Also, the title of the account WASN'T EVEN WILLIAM DEAR'S IDEA IN THE FIRST PLACE.

You're not trolling, but you are woefully uninformed on this topic.

,

And how is that unique to RPG's as opposed to virtually any other past time?

I can point to more deaths resulting from SPORTS than RPG's.

Again, show me how it's unique or indeed effective in it's ability to do so above and beyond the majority of subcultures and hobbies out there.

Also, Unerring, I note you didn't address a single point I made.
